"As with several other reviewers, this restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It is located in the charming Poncelet Market area. As it was dinner time, the market shops were closing, and I wish we had listened to the concierge and spent some time browsing here. It was more appealing than the Rue Cler area found in so many guide books. The restaurant is cozy, but lively. Our waiter was friendly and encouraged me to practice my French. He did an excellent job of recommending a delicious wine that the three of us enjoyed. While it is true that one or two items on the menu were not available, all the ingredients are procured from the market each day, so I felt assured we were enjoying a fresh meal. My daughter and I each had a steak dinner and the accompanying Bearnaise sauce was divine! My husband was concerned about ordering a risotto, but it, too, was delectable. The portions were generous and, sadly, we couldn't eat dessert. This was our last meal in Paris and I wish we had found L'Atelier sooner."

We were attempting to overcome "jet lag" upon arriving in Paris...our hotel recommended this quaint little bistro very near the Poncelet Market, which is open 7 days a week. (Also near the Arc de Triomphe) The food here is straight from the market, and delicious. We were there around 9:00pm and sadly they had run out of the specials of the day. But we had delicious fish courses and wonderful desserts. The wines were also very good, and inexpensive. We were able to dine with 2 courses plus wine for 2 for 50 euros, which we found to be a very good value in central Paris. We suggest you go for lunch to take advantage of their "plats du jour" or daily specials. An outstanding local spot!!

This place was recommended to us by the hotel concierge as a nearby spot open on the French holiday. Small spot located nearby open markets provide fresh ingredients for their fare. Menu offers reasonable range of choices and 2 & 3 course fixed price meals at 23 and 28 euros. I had a superb duck breast served with mashed potato and green beans all prepared to perfection as my main course. Began with a wonderful bowl of French onion soup and rounded out with an outstanding creme brûlée to finish. My wife had scallops and risotto and raved about it. Plenty of modestly priced wonderful wines to choose from by the glass, 50 cl, or bottle. Waitress spoke good English and menu is also in English....
