"Gradlon, King of Armorique, in French Cornouailles, somewhere between Vth and IX th century, had a tragic death, as legends report, trying to save his depraved daughter from God's anger and doom.But in this nicely decorated restaurant, no drama to fear...For a business lunch, scouting the pages of La Fourchette website, in search of a creative menu , near the too much desperately touristical Montparnasse area, I stopped on King Gradlon's appetizing descriptions.It was a quiet August mid-day, in this quiet neighborhood of Boulevard Arago, on a quiet terrace...I tried the Tuna springroll, followed by a Souris d'Agneau confite... my guest opted for the exotic seafoof salad, and an impressive Cote de Veau.We ended sharing the giant mad decadent Assortiment de desserts, serving FOUR complete desserts of the menu ( 20 eur)Portions are generous, and you better be hungry to assault the giant desserts assortment.Everything was tasty, and flavors well rendered, Springroll was crispy with a huge piece of semicooked tuna fillet. The Souris d'Agneau was tender and juicy. The exotic salad was gorgeous with 4 big gambas and a large portion of dorada ceviche...It was so good that net day I came back, with my daughter, for our weekly lunch.I tried the Exotic Salad XXL ( you better not try anything after it, unless you haven''t eaten for 2 days ).The Ceviche lacked its essential indigenous characteristic....Lime, and spices...The Chef agreed, with me and explained that some clients complain about too acid sauces. But he promised to add, when the restaurant reopens in September, a little jar of appropriate dressing, thus satisfying ALL clients.We tried the Café Gourmand, a killer for 2 !!! ( THREE of the Menu desserts !!!!Be aware that you can not finish it alone !!Average ticket 35 to 45 euro, depending on wha you chose, and wha you drink.But it is absolutely a must try in that very, very quiet area"
