"The Empreinte offers the best value in Bergerac also the most extensive menu. Their wines are very reasonably priced too. The staff are very friendly and happy to translate their dishes to non French speaking customers. We only went once in our four day visit...to Bergerac but wish we had opted to go again, instead of the more expensive restaurants we tried."

"We were booked by chance on a shepherd Monday noon for an imperative and we were delighted. the interior frame has an undeniable charm to which we are sensitive. I confirm all the positive comments on the kitchen (it had been a long time since I had not eaten sacred jacques) and the kindness of the boss (and thank you for the Turkish digestive) we now have our address when we return to shepherdac. you can tell your son that dessert was excellent two Saint Emilionnais"

"This small restaurant/wine bar offers a refreshing change to the usual gastronomic delights of Bergerac. It is modern with an up beat feel. You can sit at the long inviting wooden bar and enjoy a selection of the many marvelous wines on offer, the prices start from very reasonable. I tried some of the wonderful dessert wines on offer, what a treat! If your hungry the restaurant menu is short but meals are freshly prepared, I had salmon tartare salad and my husband a beef burger, both were delicious made from quality ingredients. The restaurant is at the back of the property in a semi open terrace. The manager speaks pretty good English and is very enthusiastic especially when it comes to the wine. This place is one of those wee gems that you find just before your leaving for home and wish you had found sooner!!!"

"We booked a table, as I wanted to make sure we ate here during our stay. Being vegetarian it can be quite tricky finding somewhere suitable in France. We also thought that they offered non-vegetarian dishes, but this was not the case on our visit. We had the €20 menu, which had a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts, with a bottle of water and 1/2l carafe of wine. All very seasonal. We ate inside as the weather was a bit changeable, although the outside terrace is very pretty. The owner ? was very disorganised as he fetched the drinks menu and then we waited ages for the food menu, which was actually the blackboard from outside! We had an enjoyable meal, and when DH declined a starter the owner fetched him a compimentary salad he's not a salad fan, so it was quite amusing as he tried to move it onto my plate, without offending the owner! Would definitely recommend to any vegetarians in Bergerac, but not those in a rush"

"Small infidelity to the cuisine Périgourdine... Indian cuisine is our cute sin Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kitchen and products. The lamb is found at the fork, the meats are excellent, the bhajia onions are very good, very scented. Really full of flavors. The three traditional condiments are served with the dish, and it is really fun because it is rarely the case! Do not hesitate to use it to adapt the taste of dishes to your taste.... Really a very good restaurant for those who love Indian cuisine."
