"Pour faire suite à la première bonne surprise lors de la découverte de cet établissement au moment et après son ouverture j'avais émis un avis très favorable en suggérant (mais c'était plus dans l'espoir de poser la cerise sur le gateau) de consolider les goûts avec éventuellement un peu plus d'audace encore.Las, depuis le départ du chef en place auparavant, le patron a troqué sa veste contre le tablier de cuisinier et force et de constater un appauvrissement des saveurs (sur certains plats).Entrée foie gras : très bienPlat : thon albacore et petits pois : Insipide : le thon n'est déjà pas un poisson très goûteux et les petits pois surgelés guère plus. Alors les deux ensemble ont eu du mal à se sublimer d'autant que leur préparation plus que simple n'amenait aucune touche créative (cf le thon aux graines de sésame et sauce soja wasabi du Barock).Dessert : panacota style forêt noire : On cherche le goût de chocolat tant il est dilué et la couche aux fruits rouge ne fait que rajouter à la difficulté. Ne reste que la chantilly du dessus pour rappeler le gateau originel.Mais, très souvent, les produits frais sont invités dans les assiettes et c'est ce qui en fait encore son attrait...Bref toujours un accueil sympa et un choix de vins intéressant dont le format au verre permet de diversifier les dégustations. Le format bouteille reste toutefois plus intéressant pour le porte monnaie, à défaut de remplir le verre de quelques centilitres supplémentaires."

"The restaurant is situated in a small street a bit away from the centre. Maybe this is the reason why I only discovered this restaurant only now although I visit Aurillac every year since 2004. The interior and it's decoration is simple and the wood...and beautiful local stones are the stars. The staff is very helpful, friendly and very efficient. We were two and had a main course and cheese. My friend had a salad of warm goat cheese, potatoes, bacon and lattice. It was simple but very nice with good products and a nice dressing. I had a fillet of veal, girolle sauce with a gratin dauphinois. It was delicious. Good quality meat, the sauce had correct consistency and the gratin had the correct seasoning. Portions are also good. To accompany this we choose a small bottle Puisseguin-Saint-Emillion 2006. At 11 EUR it was correct. As we prefer cheese rather than sweet to conclude a meal we took the plate of local cheeses. Unfortunately we could not choose, but the selection was made for us. It contained three local cheeses: Cantal, St Nectaire and Bleu d'Auvergne. The Cantal cheese was in our opinion a shame to be served in its own region. Even in Brussels we can find the same quality. But the St Nectaire and the Bleu d'Auvergne were very good as we are used to eat in the region. Last but not least a small remark about the bread as it was of an excellent quality. And during the coffee paid happily the 57.60 EUR and made plans to return soon this nice discovery."
