"We had dinner there and everything about the experience was first rate. From the setting - which is as spectacular as the photographs suggest - to the welcome, the service and the food. Really, there's nothing to criticise.The tasting menu was superb: 7 courses at €130. For two of our party the stand-out dish was the foie gras with walnut & sesame crust, for the others it was the risotto with celery, truffles and poached egg. That said the lobster was amazing. So here's the tiniest of criticisms - having said there was nothing to criticise - by the time I got to the millefeuille de boeuf & foie gras I was full. I managed about half of the dish. So my advice is to eat nothing at all before you go there.The service was superb. All the staff spoke English and managed a great balance of attentiveness & formality with humour & light-heartedness. They were also extremely knowledgable about the wines.Definitely the place to go for a special occasion."

"Soit je n'ai rien compris au sens du service soit la patronne a oublié qu'elle était là pour travailler... après notre longue marche au sein de la grotte de Lacave nous avons voulu nous désaltérer, endroit plutôt charmeur avec sa petite terrasse ombragée... mais alors quelle surprise de découvrir au bout de 10 min d'attente que personne ne se soucis de nous d'ailleurs nous n'avons pas vu l'ombre d'un serveur... Ah il faut peut être aller commander au bar... mon mari y est allé avec les enfants et pendant se temps la patronne sort à peine la tête du restaurant et me dit en parlant à peine assez fort pour que je comprenne du premier coup : il faut consommer Madame! Oui je sais mon mari est partit passer commande. Elle est donc repartie derrière son bar sans un mot ni sourire... désagréable au possible. Passez donc votre chemin. Il y a un peu plus loin un autre point pour se rafraîchir du côté du parking. Peut être que l'accueil y est plus chaleureux."

"We ate on the terrace on a hot day in August, the pizzas looked excellent but we had eaten one just a couple of days before so decided on the plat du jour which was filet de mignon de porc with a mushroom sauce, chips and salad. It was good, perhaps my pork was a little overlooked as it was thinner than my husband's, but the sauce and chips were delicious. We decided to have a dessert which was a mistake, it was a sundae dish of ice cream, a couple of small pieces of pear and lots of Chantilly cream, overpriced at 7 euros. The Grimbergen beer was delicious, just the thing on a hot day and the carafe of red wine was also good. The service was good considering it was a busy restaurant."

"I came here this evening and I brought my brother and husband with me. I want to begin by saying that they were extremely impressed by the service and food as well. Sam is an oustanding waiter. He went out kf his way to explain menu items for me and helped me identity good food choices despite my allergies. He even went out of his way to get the kitchen to make me a dessert I had requested. As an avid foodie, I often try several restaurants a week. This is BY FAR the best service I have ever had. Sam always made sure our glasses were full and that our needs were met. You are such a great addition to this restaurant. We had an entrée of chacuterie platter and lobster tacos. Oustanding food and quality. I had oysters and tartar as my main meal, satisfying and delicous. My brother had braised beef and my husband had a rib eye steak. Even they were extremely impressed. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great and the service was oustanding. Highly recommended!"

"we ordered a pitcher of sangria, who is the worst we cost (all 4). it was too sweet and brownish in the color, although it should be red wine sangria!(0/5). two of us had the crab cake (3/5), accompanied by a cal salad(4/5)...and very cordy pommes(0/5). you had hamburger steak with tweepers and kartoffels (4/5). this plate should be less crushed and a nice one. my wife had the psychic that did not taste fresh; the bones were not taken out. it was accompanied by yellow-coloured rice and some brokkoli (2/5). all in all, not very good performance."
