"Do not go here if you are seeking a nice dining experience on a special day! We arrived to find the parking situation a nightmare: cannot understand why this has not been mentioned. Restaurant next to a big beach area and you must either park in the lot near the upper highway or in a parking lot shared with beach goers. We had a reservation, yet my husband who has trouble walking and uses a cane could not park in the restaurant parking chained off but had many cars and he was told in an arrogant way we must find parking by competing with the beach goers. The lot was full and would have required a long wait for a spot. After viewing the people in bathing suits eating hamburgers on the terrace and the line of people waiting to use the pay toilets we decided it was indeed a tourist trap and not a fine restaurant as advertised and we left! Too bad, we planned on spending a good amount on wine and a nice meal!"

Since the change of owner, Idyll’s colors are almond greens in harmony with the lake. The site is grandiose, the very nice kitchen with good products and the lovely staff.

Very pleasant restaurant with tables at just 5m from the water. Just our of the town but very close to be joined if you have not a lot of time. Menu is quite short and dishes are well prepared and tasty. The wine Chignin-Bergeron is really good. Personnel is attentive.

The restaurant has a terrace right on the lake of Bourget, in front of the Hautecombe Abbey. If you arrive at sunset, you can enyoj one of the best views of the lake. Good french food (meat and fish), excellent service, great courtesy. Better to book, expecially in summer. View menu

In a nutshell, don't bother wasting your time by going here. Unless you want to deal with the rude waiter/manager. Long waiting times, just to get a drink, never mind trying to order food. You are better off driving 10/15 minutes away to Aix les Bain, La Plage restaurant (like we did). Friendly staff, lovely food, beautiful views and setting.

We were on the evening of 21 June at the restaurant the st inn and we took 8 euro salads (two pieces of tomatoes a poached egg and a cucumber lamella and two fine ham lamella and qq salad sheet) it is not likely to then grow 19 euro dish of tuna tartar accompanied by 7 half small potato too afraid that you take the weight for the summer and short with a beer sa cost you 40 euro and encor once you can thank them because they take care of your line. So too expensive for you to get tight. no menu proposal and for useless reason to explain why.
