"A wonderful place! We were looking for lunch in the third and were drawn by the people waiting (in the rain) outside of this small restaurant. The brief menu looked excellent, as well as very affordable in expensive Paris. The restaurant is in a charming little room (with open kitchen), where perhaps 8 or 9 tables are closely set. The menu offerings that day were vegetable soup (2 Euros); and two main courses: duck thigh with roasted potatoes and salad (7 Euros) or a vegetarian galette with green salad (6 Euros). There were three desserts to choose from (apple cake, pear tart, and custard with strawberries) (2 euros each). Good bread also. The espresso is served with tiny pieces of baklava. The restaurant uses bio and local products. Everything was delicious--fine home style cooking! Very kind and genuine service also. If we lived nearby, we would eat here very often. (Most of the others lunching there seemed to be regulars.)We discovered later that the restaurant is run as a collective, committed to the community. We also learned that you can offer to pay for a meal or coffee for someone who cannot afford it: that's what the "cafe suspendu" listed among the beverages is. (I confess that I thought at the time it was some sort of special coffee drink.) Eating here was one of those unexpected, delightful experiences."
