"A great discovery, this restaurant nestled in a small street in Grignan. My partner and I were first attracted around 11 a.m. by the smell that invaded the street. After a short tour of the city we returned without hesitation and did not regret our choice. The owner's Provençal veal and duck breast with green pepper sauce are real delights accompanied by tasty vegetables prepared by their chef. A copious plate of cheeses that we shared and complemented this delicious meal with 2 glasses of subtle and very good local wine. Top notch welcome and service, don’t change anything!"

We had lunch on the terrace. Friendly and accommodating staff with our 2 year old daughter. We had the ravioli with a small salad and we enjoyed it!

"It was a rainy day, and after we had searched for half an hour for a place to have lunch we finally found a table at Lulu Hazard. It was right at the entrance in front of the counter, with one chair partly blocking the door - one of those tables one would never take if one had a choice. We hadn't, it was almost 2 p.m., and we were hungry. We ordered the menu of the day, which came very quickly: A salad with tasty caillettes (cut-up meat & liver balls) and a pretty hot mustard sauce, but with plenty of sand between our teeth, followed by cod resting on a mound of penne with (at least according to the menu) lemon sauce which was served in a soup bowl. The sauce was more like bechamel, without a trace of lemon, the fish was fresh but bland. That would have been less of a problem if the penne had tasted of something. It would also have been easier to consume if the whole affair had been served on a plate - it's hard to cut anything in a full bowl of penne, even if it is as soft as cod.But what we found really annoying was the endless racket the lady behind the counter produced while she was loading the dishwasher. It sounded like an attempt to drive out the last guests, but that couldn't be because they don't close in the afternoons. It's a bit sad - Lulu Hazard is a quaint place tucked in behind the statue of Mme. Sévigné, with a rough charm, impressionist pictures on the wall and friendly, efficient staff, but their cooking didn't encourage us to give it another try. They should also tidy up their internet appearance: The website listed on TA is down, they only have a facebook account with no other info than a photo and opening hours (12-18 hrs), which, by the way, are different than those on TA (12-22 hrs)."
