Amazing Sunday roasts in a traditional pub. I would have awarded a fifth star if there had been a third choice of dessert something fruity.

From the moment you walk in the staff are welcoming and very friendly. The service is very efficient and food is top quality! Good find on our visit to Lewes!

We had a wonderful evening at the Lewes Arms, sitting in a cozy room with a crackling fire. It was the perfect setting for a rainy autumn night. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious, and they had a great selection of draught beers. We definitely plan on returning the next time we're in Lewes.

I used to enjoy dining at this restaurant. The food was consistently delicious and affordably priced. However, they have recently updated their menu, and I ordered a vegetarian dish that was extremely salty, making it nearly inedible. This was the first time I have had a negative experience with the food, and unfortunately, I do not think I will be going back.

My partner and I had lunch at the Lewes Arms on the recommendation of a local shopkeeper. We were not disappointed., the food is excellent quality and clearly homemade. Such generous portions that I struggled to finish my bacon cheeseburger.! The staff were friendly helpful and efficient. The bar had a selection of real ales which were well kept and most were locally brewed. I would definitely recommend this as a place to eat in Lewes..!!

We visited this restaurant for a Sunday roast and the food was exceptional. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The vegan nut roast was delicious, with large chunks of nuts and great flavor. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly marred by the rude bar staff, particularly one individual who was unnecessarily unpleasant. The pub itself was also quite cold, as it didn't seem like there was any heating on. Despite these drawbacks, we will definitely return for the delicious food.

My partner and her best friend recently celebrated their birthdays together and so i wanted to hire a function room to celebrate, the guys at the lewes arms couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish! Booking the room was easy and sorting out the buffet was also simple. The food on the day was fantastic and everyone commented on how tasty it was we even had to order more some stuff went down so fast. The bar staff on the day were also really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.All in all a great pub and I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting somewhere to eat in lewes as well as serving some decent beers also!

We came here for a Sunday roast and were really surprised by how good it was. The pub itself is very unassuming and the seating is in dire need of reupholstering the seats were torn to an extent where you could see the foam underneath and were really quite filthy. I briefly went upstairs and was further put off by the state of the carpets. However, the food itself was absolutely delicious. The chef really knew how to cook vegetables to perfection. Everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh. My lamb was really fatty but I think I got the very last portion so that may be why. My partner had the beef and we both agreed it was superb. We visited the Lewes Arms for Sunday lunch after a nice walk along the Ouse. We didn't book but were lucky to get a table on the terrace for the two of us and our dog. The menu was quite limited, several roast meat options, a couple of veggie options or fish and chips. I hadn't intended on having a roast (was hoping for a salad! but opted for the mushroom wellington and was very glad I did. The wellington was delicious and the veg perfectly cooked.
