"My wife and i called in here for a cup of coffee after exploring Fowey. We had already had a good lunch at Sam's earlier in the day so we only had a cappuccinos and shared a flapjack . The coffee was excellent as was the flapjack. This is a really fun little cafe and if we had been in Fowey for more than one day we would have gone back for a proper lunch. They only serve simple cafe food but the fishcakes looked and smelled delicious and others have commented on how good the fish fingers are and I don't doubt it."

Small but perfectly formed! Nice little cafe with helpful and polite staff. Good service and great sandwiches. Would definitely go here again.

If you want a basic 'Full English' with coffee for about £6, this is the place. While it's basic I like it for what it is frills, no fuss. It's pretty

The exterior and interior was promising but the overall experience was no better than average. As a cafe I expected a really personal touch and great tea and cake. View menu

An excellent little retro cafe which should not be missed. Have visited several times and never been disappointed with the quality of food or standard of service, always good. If you visit Fowey this little place is a must.

I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed a delicious bowl of hearty vegetable soup served with bread and a cup of tea. It was the perfect meal to warm up with during the hail showers outside. The total cost for two people was £15, which I found to be great value for the quality of the food. View menu

This charming cafe is absolutely adorable! The decor is lovely with unique and cozy seating. Despite being small, each customer is well taken care of. The homemade biscuits served with drinks are a brilliant touch, and the breakfast was top-notch quality. I could have spent the entire day here. It's a gorgeous little gem of a spot.

A little gem! We visited this café several times during our stay in Fowey after reading great reviews in the visitors' book in the cottage we rented. The atmosphere is lovely and the service very friendly. Victoria sponge to die for! (they have re-invigorated my love of this cake! . Lovely retro theme including books and toys and trinkets from the 70s and a lots of lovely quirky touches. We will be back!

"My girlfriend and I dined at this restaurant on a Monday evening, which is not typically a busy day. However, we arrived at 6:30pm and it was the last available table! The front of house manager greeted us warmly and handled a small issue with our reservation effortlessly. We were seated in a cozy area and offered drinks while our table was prepared. We quickly received glasses of Prosecco along with the menus, and they asked about any allergies—I mentioned my dairy intolerance which they noted. Soon after, we were led to our table with a beautiful view of the estuary, where our wine was waiting. A lovely amuse bouche and bread (with butter and oil for me) were served to start. My partner enjoyed a sweet potato foam, while I had a smoked salmon and caper dish (dairy-free). Both were delicious. Our smoked mackerel starters were equally delightful, one with a dairy foam and one without. Our main courses arrived in a timely manner and were both beautifully presented—roast cod for me and chicken breast for my partner. The dishes were all delicious. We finished our meal with an Irish coffee and a panna cotta, both of which were superb. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience with impeccable service. Many Michelin-starred restaurants could take notes from the Old Quay House. We can't wait to return.
