friendly brasserie with terrace. friendly service. the gazpacho had a lot of garlic, excellent tartar. also the grilled soles was very delicate and fresh. close to the metro station vavin.

First place we stopped off for some food while in Paris. The wait staff was good, but had a hard time with translation (not their fault). Food came out fast and was good, and location cant be beat.

We had a good dinner. the terrace is pleasant. There was a jazz orchestra just in front who played extremely well. I would have put a better note if the servers were a little more attentive. we had to claim about five or six times the basket of bread View menu

We had just arrived in Paris after an all night flight where we could not sleep. Despite being exhausted, we wanted our first dinner to be at an authentic Brasserie and our hotel recommended walking the few blocks to La Rotonde. We were seated in the lovely upstairs dining room that was more private and full of locals. The service was very attentive, the food was outstanding and just what we wanted. The price was mid-range and we felt appreciated.

Conclusion: too expensive for too little breakfast.We were here for breakfast. there was a croissant for 2,50€ and a tee or coffee for 5€ each. the coffee was very good, but an breakfast for two people (2 croissants, two coffees and a tea) for 20€ is clearly too expensive and does not last long. outside stood formules (an arte menu). there should cost a coffee croissant 5€, but we were charged everything individually. very pity and a reason not to visit this place for the rest of our trip.

After eating at several other Cafe's in the 6th district, we went to Le Rotonde. Crowded, noisy and tight tables, love it, typical Paris Cafe. Ordered a bottle of Red Vin, waiter dropped it off on the table and left. No pour, no acknowledgement. Ordered Onion Soup, Tasty but on the cold side. Ordered the Steak from the daily menu, ordered Medium Rare. The 2 inch by 4 inch piece of meat arrived alone on the plate, seared black on the outside and **** on the inside, not even rare but raw. The Fries that came with the "Steak" were the best of the meal. I cut the "Steak" and tried to chew a piece, it was the toughest piece of meat I have ever tried to eat.
