I took the usual three-course menu, with a few choices. all dishes are very well presented, in general very good. They are paid enough for this, but you will not regret it. Even for wine. the place is the restaurant of a high-level hotel, it is quite elegant in case it would be important to you. Nothing is free.

If you pass in Normandy, stop at bayeux and lunch at the golden lion. service and quality meal. charming location, good comfortable bar, elegant dining room, excellent seats outside. We had the regional menu. It was good and it was very good. portions were not huge (even considering it is a refined cuisine). However, it was a good meal overall. the location is great and the bar / comfortable is worth exploring with a plethora of photographs, signatures and messages related to Normandy. Maybe because it was our first meal and the restaurant strongly recommends it. Haven't been blown away. we also arrived very shortly after the opening of the kitchens. a good option and deserves a visit

We are tourists to Bayeux and wanted to share a special dinner. This exceeded all of our expectations. The service was excellent just the right level of attentiveness. The courses were timed beautifully. We ate from the Savour menu with the wine pairings and loved each and every dish. We tried new foods (artichoke and eel lasagna? Amazing) and thought each bite was better than the last. Dessert (daisy chocolate dish) was very special. Perhaps the best dessert course I’ve ever had. The wine pairings were done exceptionally well. We thought we would have a good meal. But we were treated to an exceptional one. The price would have been appropriate had it been double what we paid. We are well traveled including Europe so we know what to expect but the start of our evening was especially slow with the first visit for water occurring 20 mins after seating and the amuse bouche and first glass of wine at almost an hour. The waiter never came back to take a cocktail order before dinner in spite of my saying I wanted a cocktail. The food quality was mediocre. It wasn’t bad but it certainly wasn’t great. Some items were better than others. Most of staff was very pleasant and helpful and actually even responsive after dinner was underway but the terribly slow (and rude) start made a lasting impression.
