"I am now a solid Canadian but was born in Germany. A friend took me to this restaurant as a special birthday treat. Having checked the menu displayed on the restaurant 's web site I greatly looked forward to the treat and finished up bitterly disappointed. Although the décor was pseudo Bavarian, the menu offered on the restaurant 's web site did not bear the lightest resemblance to the one offered at the table, which primarily consisted of pork schnitzel prepared in a variety of ways there was just one veal schnitzel offered, which I had it was mediocre. There were only two wait staff, both from different east Asian countries, neither of whom spoke German nor understood German cuisine or beer the typical German staple. When I asked our waiter whether they had any weissbier he told me No, never heard of it . I looked on the back of the menu where a number of varieties of weissbier were offered I ordered and had one. I will not go there again."

absolutely terrible, I'm from Germany and this was the worst German food I've had in my life. Greasy, tasteless, low quality food.

Schnitzel, schnitzel, Käsespätzle and more schnitzel. Not that I'm complaining their schnitzel is excellent, but don't look for variety here this place specializes in one thing only. The place is very small, and can feel crowded if you're not alone. Service is friendly. Prices are above the norm for the area. Parking is usually not a problem.

The spätzle were oily instead of buttery, the schnitzel was not traditionally pounded and battered… it looked like a frozen preformed meat. Everything needed seasoning. Generally a very disappointing experience. There is a sign on the door as you leave that says the greatest compliment is for you to tell your friends and family but we would not be recommending this place to anyone. We will not be back.

Came to this cute restaurant for dinner with the family. With the german music in the background and decorations I could imagine being in some little town in Bavaria. We all really enjoyed the soup of the day which was cream of bacon as well as our schnitzels. The sauerkraut and red cabbage sides were yummy too, not too vinegry. We ordered crepes for dessert and although a bit too thick, they were delicious. We'll be back for sure.

This restaurant is located in a sketchy plaza. The interior was quaint and full of character (although the Christmas decorations could have been put away). The portions are generous, but not oveirly flavourful. Salad was awful. Very inattentive wait staff. Stemware came with lipstick stain. It was stifling hot inside. It was a relief to leave and get fresh air, and we were pleased to find the unsavoury loitering element did not burglarize our car.

I decided to go to this restaurant in Scarborough after reading the reviews. I was surprised by the decor once we entered the restaurant. We were seated immediately and ordered our drinks. The food, however, was the highlight of this culinary journey. I ordered the standard schnitzel, which came with red cabbage and dumplings. The food was nicely presented with a sufficient amount of food. The schnitzel was thin and fried to perfection. My partner had the goulash. Overall, the server was very nice and accommodating. I would return to try a different schnitzel choice. Auf Wiedersehen

I hadn't planned on reviewing this place until I read the reviews here. I grow up in this neighborhood and use to frequent this restaurant often. It was a busy place with the local residents calling this place one of their favorites! Fast forward to 2107 and I felt so sad to see what had become of this place. It is a joke. Kitchy, dirty and, to borrow a line from Andrew Knotts, having a proclivity to desecrate one of Austria’s national dishes with a number of offenses. When cooking this type of food, freshness, and cleanliness is paramount! Stale ingredients and dirty grease are reflected in, what should be, subtle tastes of Bavarian food. The high rating for this place boggles my mind!

I wrote a very good review on this place back in January but unfortunately, on our second visit we were really not too impressed. The house soup that came with your meal was very unappetizing and tasted like they had just taken very oily meat drippings, added flour and water to make a soup. It was nothing like the soup we had the first visit. I had the schnitzel with the mushroom sauce and although the schnitzel itself was cooked fine, the sauce was so thick and had no seasoning making it practically tasteless and inedible. On top of this, the waitress was not very friendly making this outing not a very enjoyable one. If not for the the schnitzel and the red cabbage which were tasty, I was a...
