"Maiz Taqueria is located in an inconspicuous street in the city centre. It's a really small restaurant with five tables. In summer there are four additional tables. Even if the corn is so small, it is still popular. We came to the restaurant on a Thursday evening without reservation and there was only half of the table for a short hour. That we had to share the table with two others was neither a problem for them nor for us. There was enough distance between them to talk undisturbed. Also the short stay was not a problem, because the service was always there quickly to fulfill our wishes. For drinking we ordered three a homemade ice tea for 3,50 €. Of course, the glass was filled with either the iced tea or a homemade lemonade at most once, which benefited us from the hot summer day. Chips with salsa dip, the main tacos and burritos and rice with beans and salad are offered as starters. We chose five different tacos (filled with: sweet potatoes (3,50 € , chicken (3,80 € ), pork (3,80 € and twice with beef (4 € with extra cheese (0,50 € and a chickenberry for 10,50 €). The food was very fast to us. The tacos were filled with the same vegetables, meat or potatoes and various sauces. The Burrito was very large and generously filled with meat that was excellently marinated. Both the Tacos and the Burrito tasted authentic and really good. In my opinion, the Burrito is worth it. To get tired, you need at least 3-4 tacos that are a little expensive for their small size. Since the nice service and the kitchen were so fast, we were ready to pay after a three-quarter hour and could free the table at an early time for the reservation. Overall, the Maiz Taqueria is small, but good! A very good restaurant with delicious and authentic dishes. I'm looking forward to my next visit."

The most important thing! The quality of food is really overwhelming and you feel Mexico a less close than it is. The selection is also good. There is always a special beer (Herbipolis or Quartiermeister), but the Würzburger Hofbräu Pils is also offered (if the special beers are recommended). In Maiz Taqueria, there is not so much space. Only mini critique is the atmosphere in this very small restaurant, it looks like a mixture of snacks and industrial hall/production. But with these great foods, it's hardly important! I'd like to come back.

Maiz ist immer einen Besuch wert. Das Innere scheint zwar manchen etwas rustikal, hat aber einen ganz besondeten Flair. Die Bedienung ist charmant und das Essen (auch wenn es immermal wieder minimal anders schmeckt) ist top.Man kann hier hauptsächlich zwischen Burritos gefüllt mit Fisch, Hähnchen, Schwein, Rind oder Süßkartoffeln und Tacos mit den gleichen Füllungen wählen. Als Getränk ist der hausgemachte Eistee/Limonade zu empfehlen der für seine 3,50€ bereits einen Refill beeinhaltet. Mein Geheimtipp: Mittags kommen und einen Burrito der sonst um die 10€ kostet für 5€ essen ;)
