"El molino de Vilviestre es un restaurante de corte familiar, en el que la calidad de los ingredientes y la presentación de los platos es lo más importante. El molino siempre fue lugar de encuentro de gentes; gente que venía a serrar o a moler, pastores que se acercaban a calentarse, arrastradores y hacheros que trabajaban en el monte... Nunca faltaba un trago de vino o un trozo de pan. Las especialidades del restaurante son las carnes rojas y los pescados a la brasa. Aunque también puedes disfrutar de comidas tradicionales como el ajo carretero típico plato de los carreteros de la Sierra , igualmente puede degustar platos elaborados con productos locales boletus edulis , morcilla de Burgos .... Disponemos de 3 comedores , uno de ellos es una cocina serrana con chimenea, ideal para calentarse al fuego en los días de invierno . Tenemos la suerte de contar con un entorno excepcional. La naturaleza se muestra aquí en todo su esplendor. Situado en el mismo complejo del Mesón Restaurante El Molino de Vilviestre, podemos disfrutar del Museo Carretero, que recoge la tradición de la que han vivido las gentes de estas tierras desde hace varios siglos. Este Museo legalizado por la Junta de Castilla y León, dispone de un buen número de objetos que permiten un viaje por la dura vida de los carreteros de la Sierra."

El sitio es digno de mención , tiene una ubicación increíble. Hago mención forzosa al hecho que no tengan para cobrar con tarjeta , o llevas efectivo o te toca ir al pueblo de al lado a sacar dinero, si no fuese por esta tontería seria increíble.

Although we had booked on the terrace, they moved us to the dining room because the terrace was not operational. A shame because the truth is that the dining room is bare and the tables are too big, in my opinion the place could do with a facelift. The waiters were attentive but were not able to attend to all the tables, it took them a long time to write down the order. The food is just right, the meats and Castilian dishes are good, but a little more variety is missing on the menu. What I don't understand is that today payment by card is not accepted, only cash. Especially because the restaurant is not exactly cheap. In short, an update in general would be great.

the mallestre mill is a family-style restaurant, where the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the dishes is the most important. the mill was always a meeting place for the people; people who came to be or to grind, shepherds who came to warm themselves, dragging them and hacheros who worked on the mountain. I never needed a drink of wine or a piece of bread. the specialities of the restaurant are red meats and grilled fish.
