"A few weeks ago, we found this gem of a restaurant while searching for a place to have morning coffee and a bite to eat. The food was cooked to perfection and the baked goods were top-notch. I couldn't resist trying a scone with jam, and it did not disappoint - it was a generous size and the jam was made in-house at the farm shop. While some of the scone flavors were a bit unconventional, there were plenty of options for those who prefer more traditional choices. My wife's sausage roll was equally delicious. The owner, or possibly a staff member, came over to chat with us and suggested that we could purchase the jams and conserves from the shop, so we happily did so, including a fantastic chilli jam. We ended up visiting a few more times before heading home. I can't recommend this place enough."

Had a takeaway lunch today and it was amazing! So tasty, large portions, and they make the most amazing creamy coleslaw. Fantastic cakes as well, large portions. Would recommend.

Visited Milton Haugh Farm Shop again today and as ever they have an excellent range of items. The vegetables were lovely and fresh. The cafe was busy but our order was taken and food arrived promptly. Fresh local produce and well presented. Cheerful and friendly staff.

We always enjoy dining out, but this time, our experience left a lasting impression due to the exceptional treatment of our new, nervous rescue puppy. He was greeted warmly and treated with great care in the tea room. Thankfully, he behaved very well and we are extremely grateful for the wonderful hospitality. View menu

I went to this restaurant today with my parents and dog to enjoy a deluxe afternoon tea as a special birthday treat for my mum. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in, even bringing a bed and a bowl of water for our dog. The afternoon tea was the best I have ever had, and we had to take boxes of cakes home because there was so much food. We also ordered a doggy afternoon tea, which was great value for money and disappeared quickly, indicating that it was just as delicious as ours. We have been here for lunch before and will definitely return when we are in the area.

Although we liked the food we ordered, the overall experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Throughout our visit, vacant tables were not cleared, even though it was not very busy. We had to actively search for a server to take our orders for dessert and coffee after finishing our main course. When it came time to pay, there was no one at the counter, so we had to ring the bell multiple times and finally call out before someone appeared. It seemed that the staff in the kitchen were preoccupied with a radio and didn't hear our attempts to get their attention. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
