"I took my dad to Cashleys for his birthday. The high tea was fantastic; all four of us were completely satisfied with our cakes, each trying something different. We all enjoyed our meals, whether it was the Sunday roast, steak pie, fish and chips, or mac and cheese with bacon. My sister and I had been there a few weeks prior and had a great experience as well. When we went around 7:30 for dinner, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. My sister loved the appetizer, and we both enjoyed the burgers. I also had a dessert that was delicious. I would highly recommend Cashleys to anyone looking for a great meal."

"A group of 8 friends and I were in search of a place to have tea after a sunny day in the hills. We were delighted to come across The Stag! The food was enjoyed by everyone and the staff were wonderful. Two of us are vegan and the chef kindly prepared some delicious gnocchi with a flavorful tomato sauce and vegetables. We were very impressed and would highly recommend this dish, which I believe everyone would enjoy, whether vegan or not. Additionally, I would recommend trying the 'hand cut chips' as they were very tasty, chunky, and came in a generous portion. Thank you to the team at The Stag for fueling us up for the journey back home."

"Whenever our car needs servicing, we make the trip from Dundee to our local Kia dealer in Forfar. One of the benefits of this journey is the opportunity to explore different dining options while we wait for our car. During our most recent visit, we chose to dine at The Castle Club, a combination snooker club and restaurant. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted with a staircase leading up to the first floor. At the top of the stairs, there were various doors leading to different areas, including the snooker room, toilets, and the restaurant. The restaurant had a charming decor and a welcoming ambiance. The staff promptly seated us at a spacious table and provided us with menus and took our drink order. We started with the smoked salmon starter, which arrived promptly and was delicious. For our main courses, I had the battered fish with chips, carrots, side salad, and braised red cabbage, while my husband opted for the seafood lasagna, which was packed with salmon, prawns, and white fish in a delightful white sauce. Both dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and friendly, making our dining experience enjoyable. We were recommended to try the steak pie on our next visit, and we look forward to returning. I highly recommend dining at The Castle Club; you won't be disappointed."

"We've enjoyed a few lunches at Panzarotti on our travels to Forfar and it never disappoints. It's a lovely wee cafe/restaurant but they have adapted the front to have little heated huts so you can eat outside whatever the weather and also bring your dog! It's charming that each are named after a different area of Italy. We enjoyed a tasty pizza and fries, and a mushroom Panzarotti with delicious vegetable soup. All served promptly. The value for lunch was great, especially given prices across the board are going up. Staff are always pleasant and friendly. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!! We look forward to returning soon."

"Been here many a time and food always been good. Today, Steak pie and the chips were very dry and did not enjoy. My biggest gripe today is the young waitress chewing her gum, not hiding the fact she had gum in mouth but while taking our order blatantly eating the gum with mouth open. Not only us that noticed but folks at next table were also talking about her. Highly unprofessional!!! Friends daughter works in a different establishment at weekends doing lunches and chewing gum is a big no no! Come on Jackie get tough with your staff, who wants her breathing over their food while she’s chewing her gum"
