Walked in, walked back out within two minutes...initial welcome unfriendly..and the lady slouched behind the counter could barely even be bothered to speak to us. Lost our business went elsewhere. Will not be back.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The service is excellent and the staff always greets you with a smile. The deluxe hot chocolate is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is old-fashioned with embroidered tablecloths and little details that make the dining experience perfect. View menu

Such a lovely place to meet dear friends we haven't seen for an age! Worth the drive over from East Yorkshire. Gorgeous decorations and atmosphere. Lovely welcoming people. Excellent vegetarian food, so much food we took boxes home. Great kids food too, really special picnic...

The second time Mum and I have been to Miss Butterfinger’s recently we’d liked it so much we came back for more! A cup of mushroom soup each and a sandwich cream cheese and cucumber for me, and prawns Marie rose for Mum, followed by more of the very light, delicate and delicious coffee and walnut cake with a latte. This is a true tea house and we’ll keep coming back as it’s a real treat.

We visited this quaint little cafe for a quick snack. It has a lovely ambience with nice decoration and background music. Service was excellent and friendly. There is a great selection of hot drinks and lunch options. Our coffee came in large mugs and was nice and hot. The toasted fruit loaf was tasty and nicely presented. This was our first time visiting this restaurant. I made a reservation for the Valentines afternoon tea for my husband and myself. A delightful young woman came to our table to take our order. She was very friendly and represented the restaurant well. Our afternoon tea arrived and it was absolutely delicious. The bottom tier had a variety of finger sandwiches and crisps, the middle tier included a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream, and the top tier had a red velvet cupcake, a millionaire shortbread (my favorite), a jammie dodger cake, a chocolate-dipped strawberry, a love heart sweet, and a piece of chocolate. My sister-in-law won a voucher for afternoon tea at this charming little place, and she invited me to join her. Despite the small size of the restaurant, we felt like we had plenty of space. We were seated in comfortable armchairs by the window, complete with cushions for extra comfort. We enjoyed a picnic bench featuring a choice of toastie or panini (I opted for the toastie), along with a delicious homemade broccoli and cauliflower soup and a side salad. I've not been moved to review anywhere for quite a while so that tells you how good this place is. We needed a treat after a dispiriting morning hospital visit so decided to treat ourselves. It was a good move. Clean, friendly and with quaint but quiet pre war background music (which probably drives the staff bonkers but adds such the right ambience) we were shown to our unbooked table for two.
