Miss Mai - Menu

I loved it all: the idea to make postcards with dishes and descriptions, the place, the lady and last, but not least that was one delicious dinner. I'm not an expert to judge how authentic the food is, but it is definitely worth trying.

Absolute delight! Food and service on very high level. Small restaurant but really great with a nice interior and atmosphere. Seems that a lot of people appreciate it since after It may be hard to have a table without previous reservation. I strongly recommend!

One of the best Chinese restaurant in Dortmund. Food is delicious and would be ready fast as the restaurant is small and usually not full. I assume It is because of its location. Notably, vegetables used in the food are fresh. Staff are polite and...it is hard to find parking near the restaurant. All in all, I highly recommend tasting the food here if you are interested in Chinese food.

I'm sorry but I cannot resist to write a review eventhough we haven't eaten here yet. My husband and I made an effort to go to this particular area in Dortmund where the restaurant is, just to eat here. We live an hour or so...away from Dortmund. Sadly, we didn't know that we needed a reservation to get a table. Though I understand that the restaurant is small and it was a Saturday night it would have been nice if they wrote it on their website that they do not accept customers without a reservation.

what a fabulous Wee place! we came here on the basis of the other reviews and found the personal really helpful and eating amazing! it is a very small place, so we were glad that we had booked one table in advance. (even on a Tuesday night was everyone. table filled the personal had menus in English (thanks and the food was delicious with very generous portions. we didn't make a starter and had no place for dessert! when the bill came, it was another pleasant surprise! the prices were very reasonable. highly recommended!

Miss Mai is in my opinion the best Asian Restaurant in Dortmund. This lady and her team really cook up some authentic chinese food from different parts of China.Most chinese places in Dortmund do all serve the same palate and mostly germanized versions of chinese...food. Miss Mai does offer true asian flavours...delcicious and creative. The meals do come with a story which tells its origin. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy and staff is really friendly! What a restaurant! The decor, the easy-to-follow menu cards with pictures [English versions too], the sweet owner and of course the amazing food! I decided to pop in here on my own for lunch one day and was so impressed that I came back...with my husband the next week! The food is fresh and delicious and beautifully presented. I love that they make their own home-made noodles there. This is a place that I would love to take visitors to Dortmund, to to show off that Dortmund is great! I can imagine coming here again in the colder months, to enjoy some delicious spicy dishes!

a friend invited me to eat and I was appalled when I discovered that it was a Chinese restaurant because I don't like Chinese food. but it was nothing like the typical Chinese restaurant with the usual huge list of standard dishes it was...total amazing. I had homemade big noodles with a pistachio sauce and paprika and swirling, and it was totally delicious. the other special was homemade thin noodles made from sweet potato flour in a spicy soy soy soup with vegetables that looked just as delicious. the desserts were also homemade and also delicious. I would want to go back here in a heartbeat that I would have lived in there, so it would be possible!

food menu is very simple. their main attention are the hand drawn Chinese noodles. I ordered a weekly version of her noodle dish, some noodles and a chocolate cake. let us begin by discussing things. the chocolate cake while he was vegan. was a joy. probably the highlight of my menu course. the nudes I expected to be the shiny star were actually the disappointment. they had absolutely no bite. you could even eat them without teeth. away to soft and therefore lacked an amazing chewiness and mouthfeel. the noodles were decent. this time I had more a problem with the filling. it was like eating a little meatball. not bad, but not great.
