"We used to frequent Morgan's for breakfast, but since it changed ownership, our experience has been disappointing. On multiple occasions, we were told that certain items were not available, such as tomatoes, white bread, and even eggs on one occasion. We were surprised that these basic ingredients could not be sourced from the market across the street. Despite giving it three chances, we were consistently let down. The restaurant has now reverted back to its original name, The Exchange, but we believe they still have some issues to address. Unfortunately, we will not be returning."

I enjoyed my breakfast, it was tasty. The tables were dirty though: sticky, and with bits of food stuck to the edges from the night before. The place did not look clean.

Morgans, formerly known as The Belstead, is a new hotel with a modern bar on the ground floor. The rooms are lovely and clean, though a bit on the smaller side and do not have double beds. View menu

I went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday and was really impressed. They have a wide selection on the menu, but I decided to try the beef sandwich. It came with chips and salad, and it was delicious.

We popped into Morgan's as we'd never been before and the on-line menu suggested a good range of food for both vegetarians and meat eaters. My wife had a Quorn based cottage pie which she loved and the chilli was out of this world. Highly recommended.

We popped into Morgans on a Saturday afternoon for a drink. This is a lovely place. It's very light and airy with wooden floors throughout. It was quiet when we visited as it was in between lunch and dinner, so there were a few people in just having a chill out and a drink. The service was friendly and a good variety of drink to choose from. View menu

Pleasant service provided with the right amount of contact, I had the full English with the extra £3 to double it up. My fiancée had the regular which was a sensible size and adequate for the average gal. Lattes were good and hot, which is rare from these automated coffee machines. All in all, I would have to rate this excellent, thankyou for a nice breakfast Morgans.

Unfortunately, my drink was spilled due to a wobbly table at the restaurant. The staff argued with me, claiming the table was not that unstable. Despite this, I was left without my drink and the table remained wobbly. The customer service was terrible, as I was asked to pay for the spilled drink even though it was not my fault. Additionally, I was confronted by a group of men when I tried to defend my point of view, leading to a potentially dangerous situation. As a result, I do not feel comfortable or safe returning to this establishment.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
