"Selected the afternoon tea. To help out anyone who had the same experience as me don't bother going to the website as it looks like it hasn't been updated for years! The afternoon tea is advertised as £9.50 on the website but we paid £12.50 pp and nothing is listed so you have no idea what you are getting! We went and asked first. We were met by a lady who was quite accommodating said we could have any sandwich filling we wanted even if it wasn't listed. This was quite good though she seemed quite miserable saying it! For the £12,50 afternoon tea each person gets: 4 small sandwiches (filling of your choice), 2 cakes (you cannot choose and they do not tell you what you will get so be mindful of this if you are fussy), one macaron and one scone with cream and jam. You can have tea or if you choose another drink, you have to pay the difference. Waitress was lovely and it was a beautiful little tearoom very squashed though so I would advise you go early! Hope the breakdown helps as you can't find this information anywhere."

Service was really good and so was the food. The only problem I had was that I asked for tap water and got charged £2.60! That's a joke, it's tap water nor gold water!

Delicious breakfasts meaty and veggie. Great service, accommodated requests and just a lovely atmosphere for a relaxed breakfast out with older family members. Food was hot, generously portioned and super tasty. Only grumble would be tea in pot was bit weak even after a good brew time but that’s more a preference. View menu

Afternoon Tea for Mother's Day we were seated upstairs, it was busy and you're cramped in or squeezing past other diners. Tables are small and not enough space for everyone's crockery/cutlery let alone the platter they bring your food out on. Although the food was nice and the cakes moist, the teapot was chipped, tea cup saucer was dirty and staff didn't seem that interested in us! If you're a large person, I'd think twice about trying to use the toilet!!

This is a lovely hidden gem in The Lanes in Leicester, a small area full of independent shops and cafes and near the popular St Martin's Square. Plenty of seating both inside, and outside in a quiet courtyard. I had the Welsh rarebit with chutney and cole slaw, which was wonderful and a very reasonable price (I had two slices at £8 but a single slice option is available for a lighter lunch, while my partner had jacket potato. Great food and service, friendly, good price, and delicious.

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
