"We had arranged to meet friends, two other couples who each had narrow boats, and therefore we booked in at the Navigation Inn for our stay. The evening meal with real ale and wine for my wife was refreshing. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Check that your booking includes the full English breakfast because that is worth attempting a real challenge if you think you can eat it all! The Bugsworth canal basin is only a two minute walk away and a beautiful setting to watch the sunset. A great weekend."

We visited the Navigation Inn as part of a birthday celebration. We had great service and great food at a reasonable price. Lovely local.

We initially planned to have the Carvery for Sunday lunch, but ended up choosing the Blackboard specials instead. All three of us decided to try the meat pie and swapped our chips for mash. It turned out to be a fantastic choice.

This charming pub is situated in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and they are also dog-friendly. Although I did not dine at the pub, the food looked fantastic. They offer a good selection of beers and other drinks, and they also have accommodation available.

We've been here before and I am sure I did a review but tonight's visit warrants another. An excellent home made Steak and Kidney pie for me and the wife had a sharing starter but didn't share it. Both were excellent. Great choice of beer and ciders and friendly staff round off a perfect evening.

Whilst mooring our narrow boat Bugsworth Basin we called one evening into the Navigation Inn with our dog. We were warmly welcomed from entering the pub felt very comfortable relaxed. Good range of quality beers; beers are well looked after. Great section of gins tonics. Well worth a visit; we will definitely be calling again.

My husband and I ate here whilst visiting Bugsworth Basin on our narrowboat. We both chose the homemade pie of the week, which was steak and kidney. The pie was delicious with plenty of filling, crispy home made chips and a selection of vegetables, all cooked well and a jug of gravy too. The staff were attentive and helpful. We would definitely eat here again.

Went for a Sunday Lunch. Beer was very good and the garlic and stilton mushroom starter was excellent. But whilst one of children really enjoyed the carvery experience the pir crust was hard and the chips poor (would say infamous rather thean famous). I put it down to oor potato quality. Basic standard food and therefore a bit pricey. Will happly call in again for pint and sandwichbut not for a meal.

We decided to grab a meal at this pub with a great view. However, when we went in for a drink, we had a terrible experience. The smell of body odor in the bar was awful, possibly coming from an unwashed customer. This made us not even consider eating here. Additionally, we found the prices to be quite high - £8 for a half of lager and a pint of bitter seems excessive. On a positive note, the pub itself is charming and located in a lovely spot.
