"We arrived at 10 pm, which was considered late. Upon entering, we asked if it was still okay to dine at that hour. The man with a top knot rudely replied, "If I haven't said anything, don't speak," and maintained that attitude throughout the evening. The food was average, and some staff members were friendly, but overall, our experience was disappointing compared to when the restaurant was under previous ownership. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Dinner, Price per person: £20-£30, Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 2."

We turned up without a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. A restaurant with plenty of ‘bling’ factor, the service was attentive and the food excellent! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View menu

While on vacation in the area, we were recommended to try Naz and it certainly lived up to the hype. The takeaway was fantastic and I will definitely be returning here. The food was delicious and full of flavor. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.

As a first-time patron, I was very impressed with both the service and the food at this restaurant. The meat was tender and the sauces were delightful. I will definitely be returning. The take-out service was efficient and the price per person ranged from £10 to £20. I would rate the food 5 out of 5 and the service 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Peshwari Nan. A friend and I went to Naz for an early Saturday night curry and were quickly impressed by the friendly welcome we received. We appreciate that they remember us from our previous visits and even remember our previous orders. The prawn pathia on puri as a starter is a must-try and the lamb tikka dupiaza is always delicious. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the lamb chops. I highly recommend Naz as the best curry restaurant in Leek!

"Our room faced the front of the hotel, and while the village was quiet with only two pubs and a small corner store, it seemed to be a shortcut for heavy vehicles speeding downhill at night, with headlights constantly illuminating our room. We also found out that the hotel closes in the evening if it's not busy, and the front door may be locked as early as 10 PM, requiring a code for re-entry. The internet service was poor; even standing just outside the front door, I had no reception and couldn't call the emergency numbers posted there. It appears that the quality of the rooms varies significantly, with some having been upgraded while others are less desirable, including our own. When we questioned our bill because we didn't think the room was worth £140, we were told that since we had booked through Charming Escapes, we should take it up with them, as the hotel receives only a fraction of what we paid. This made us feel like second-class guests, especially since it seemed we were stuck in a low-quality room. The standard rate for a double room is £90, and if I were to rate our experience like on the TV show "Four in a Bed," I would say £50 a night would have been generous. Previous reviews also mentioned an issue with the door handle and the ability to lock the room, which had not been fixed. If you’re just looking for a place to dry off your hiking boots, this hotel might suffice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here again. It has a lot of potential, and thankfully, we had a wonderful evening at The Devonshire Arms just across the street—it felt like a whole different experience. It seems the staff at Charles Cotton have simply given up."
