"Bang in Wells Next the Sea is a dog-friendly bistro offering a splendid selection of seafood. The menu blends traditional English dishes with several European and Asian alternatives, such as paella and curry, and includes a daily catch of fish. The beverage options were excellent, especially the wine and the guest ale. The service was friendly, and the food was promptly prepared and served. However, we felt somewhat neglected as the restaurant was preparing for a busy Thursday evening during our visit from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Consequently, the dessert options were limited to ice cream, as the kitchen was gearing up for the evening rush. The staff missed opportunities to offer hot drinks at the end of the meal. The burger was quite enjoyable, albeit slightly overcooked and dry. This tendency to prepare beef well done by default seems common in the area. The fish and chips were also tasty, but don't expect the portion size of a typical fish and chip shop. The side salads were flavorful and fresh. Our 8-year-old son thoroughly enjoyed his seafood platter, with his only comment being that it was a bit salty. Nonetheless, this didn't prevent him from finishing the entire plate. In conclusion, we had a pleasant meal, but it didn't leave us thoroughly impressed, and we departed with a slight sense of disappointment."

"We enjoyed a wonderful family meal at this restaurant, and the food was delightful. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a misunderstanding regarding the “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme. We had planned to indulge in a couple of meals while on holiday, but what should have been a £32 bill ended up being £55. It turns out they only apply the 50% discount to main meals, and my daughter's meal wasn’t considered a main, so no discount was given for her dish, soft drinks, or desserts. When I raised this issue, I was simply told, "Yes, that's how we're doing it." I later reached out via email but received no response. I discovered that the restaurant's policy seems to contradict the rules of the scheme, which states that the discount should apply to all eligible items. I love visiting your pub and dislike complaining, but when you're on a budget, it really makes a significant difference."

"Went with my partner for my 50th birthday. We are both vegetarian and chose this place because it looked small and cosy, and offered a couple of vegetarian options, which is unusual for North Norfolk. Food was AMAZING, we both had the sweet potato burger which was tasty and moist, not a nasty dry burger as is sometimes the case with veggie restaurant meals. We thought this meal was THE BEST pub restaurant meal we've EVER had. Well worth the price. Service was very friendly, and I even had a candle in my dessert for my birthday, although our drinks were forgotten at one point. The pub and it's décor is great, a mix of modern design with old, vintage fixtures and fittings. The music wasn't too bad, we would prefer a mix of classic rock and 60s/70s folk and folk-rock, but not many places choose to play that type of music. Vegetarian options: Really good veggie options, actually had a choice!! We had tempura cauliflower and pitta with houmous to start, and we both had sweet potato burgers for the main. Everything was amazing!"

"Absolutely amazing Sunday Lunch. We were in the area for the weekend and searched on here for somewhere for a home made Sunday lunch. We weren't disappointed. What a lovely place. Friendly welcome, fabulous decor and an outstanding meal. Possibly the best Sunday lunch I've had for a number of years. We will be back."

"she quay, especially it was a nice curse. alexandra sends us all the necessary instructions to get to the building where clear and easy to read. at the arrival was the place immaculate, warm and relaxing. we found our way into our room that was so spacious with beautiful massive windows filled with natural light. the room itself had a nice comfortable king bed. the bathroom was my favorite big shower, clean and tidy and also has a de-misting mirror that was handy. we had a great sleep and then went down to the breakfast. alexandra was down to make sure that all the guests, where happy they made us a coffee and told us to help us get to breakfast. there was a huge series of tasty and various dinge -10 different types of chalk croissants, pancakes, crumbs, bagels, literally so many options -fruits and yogurt -night hafer -hams and bee the breakfast itself was simply great, so many options could not be omitted! alexandra was a great, so friendly and attentive. we will definitely come back in summer"
