"We enjoyed a wonderful family meal at this restaurant, and the food was delightful. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a misunderstanding regarding the “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme. We had planned to indulge in a couple of meals while on holiday, but what should have been a £32 bill ended up being £55. It turns out they only apply the 50% discount to main meals, and my daughter's meal wasn’t considered a main, so no discount was given for her dish, soft drinks, or desserts. When I raised this issue, I was simply told, "Yes, that's how we're doing it." I later reached out via email but received no response. I discovered that the restaurant's policy seems to contradict the rules of the scheme, which states that the discount should apply to all eligible items. I love visiting your pub and dislike complaining, but when you're on a budget, it really makes a significant difference."

The best Pub in Wells. Excellent food, very traditional and perfectly presented in a traditional atmosphere. This is what defines British pubs. Also very competitively priced and busy lunch and dinner which tells you all you need to know. look no further in Wells.

We dined here on October 2, 2020, and the meal was absolutely delicious! The staff were welcoming and friendly, and all current guidelines were followed.
