"Very different to the first time I was there. The guy at the door kept the door opened and it made it very cold. The food was tasty as always, the food is great and the portions very good. We asked for water 4 times… the food came 50min after we ordered… we were even thinking of leaving because no one even came to tak to us at that stage… People came after us got the food way earlier, were thinking what happened that it took such a long time, We did not feel very great this time. Take away usually is very good. The ambience was okay."

I picked up a few cakes from their booth in the boilerhouse—some to enjoy right then and one for later! They were incredibly delicious, beautifully crafted, and they also offer raw and sugar-free options.

Restaurant didn’t accept booking made with Open Table and asked to wait for an hour. We didn’t wait and found other restaurant. They explained that system accepts automatically and they don’t check it because they have a booking list on paper. Ridiculous!

I had a reservation for 8 PM, but we ended up waiting nearly an hour to be seated. Meanwhile, other people who walked in off the street were seated at the same time as us. The staff was rude, and we felt ignored throughout our wait. On the positive side, the food was quite good.

My wife and I were told that we needed to experience Indian food in London and our tour guide said we had to go to Brick Lane. This restaurant was outstanding. We arrived later in the afternoon and there was no one in the place so we were a little nervous. But great personalized service and excellent food. Best Indian cuisine we have ever had. Highly recommend.

I'm giving this a 5-star rating because I've really enjoyed their vegan macaroons in the past. However, I searched for them all over Brick Lane this week and couldn't find them anywhere. Their website doesn't mention this location, so I suspect it's an outdated listing. It seems you can still order online (which I plan to do), but I think this listing should either be removed or updated to reflect their online store. I've submitted a request for an update for now.
