Just visited here for the first time this year. Great food great service and cracking value for the money paid. Thanks guys keep up the good work everyone

Absolutely love this place, food is beyond good.went to Marco Pierre whites in Liverpool the day before this visit, not a patch on you guys, keep up the good and very hard work you do.

Visited last night meeting up with family. Everything as always excellent. Good menu, allergies very well catered for and food delicious. Good choice of drinks. Staff ate just superb, nothing too much trouble. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Great pub and restaurant combination. We had a couple of very good real ales from an extensive selection in the bar then went upstairs for dinner. Service was spot on and the food was excellent. Can recommend the steak and ale pie with proper chips. Tortellini was also excellent.

Visited Oswalds at helter skelter last night. New menu new name new interior and still fabulous food. Steak sublime and pork belly is as good as ever. We visit a lot and always enjoy their food. Quiet during the week which is probably best time to go x Real Ae pub below as well. Would recommend to all.

We were at this restaurant last night. The food was reasonable and the service very good. For me it lacked atmosphere. The type of tables there, which had no cloths or mats made the place look more like a fast food cafeteria rather than a restaurant. I would have liked a table cloth or at least paper place mats.

We've had the steak here before and had high expectations as they have always been good, this time we (pre)ordered the Chateaubriand as we've never had this cut before. It was seared beautifully so the meat had a smokey exterior but was butter knife tender on the inner. I recommend this as a treat but there are plenty of other items to be enjoyed which are less indulgent and the Sunday menu is very good value too.

Have used the bar menu here many times and the food has always been excellent. Yesterday was the first time er have been disappointed. The chips were very overcooked. My husband had the steak and ale pie but the size of the pie was greatly reduced from the size it used to be. My daughter and I had the fish platter the only problem was the very overcooked chips so I left most of mine. I hope the restaurant reads this review and goes back to the excellent food it usually provides.

This restaurant changed its name to Grill31 earlier this year (same owners) and changed its focus to being a grill restaurant specialising in quality steaks. We went here for a family meal of 4 adults. We had the starter sharing platter for 4 which was excellent followed by various steaks each and we can safely say these were some of the best steaks that we had all had in a long time. There is nowhere else in the area that specialises in steaks so this was a really pleasant change to other local restaurants and a great idea by the owners to look for a gap in the local market. The service was excellent and whilst steaks are the cheapest items in the menu these were excellent value for money....
