"There was some confusion regarding our tea orders, as well as with the actual deposit of one of the hearty sandwiches. Instead of rooibos, we received green tea, and we were given regular mint tea instead of fresh mint tea. Additionally, we were fairly certain we ordered a lobster sandwich but were told it was a "cancer" sandwich, although we were given mixed information. Despite these discrepancies, the food was still delicious; it would have been even better with accurate descriptions. The service was good overall, and it’s still a lovely place to enjoy tea."

We had a fantastic dining experience with excellent service. Our waitress, Natalie, went above and beyond to make sure our visit was unforgettable, especially after an unexpected change in the menu.

stay on 6.-8. jan 2023. we had breakfast on Saturday morning. the staff was really nice, but our waiter darryl was fab. he recommended a court that I then chose, he was very friendly and professional. darryl was the polite youngest gent we had met in london at the weekend. many thanks for their advice on breakfast:

Fitz has nice ambience, decor and service was friendly. The food was generally good, but a few of the sandwich choices did not suit our palate carrot and star anise was an odd tasting combination and for the vegetarian menu, one of our party mentioned that the coconut combination sandwich tasted odd as well. However, the scones were lovely and the chocolate mousse cake and passion fruit layered cake were my favourite of the cake selection. View menu

Afternoon tea was outstanding. A journey through chocolate paired with cocktails. The patisserie was truly outstanding the depth of taste was incredible. The standout piece was a chocolate gateau with black currant ham and a waver thin crispy base. The scones (choc and plain) were probably the best I have ever eaten. I've done a few teas in London and this is the most memorable. The ambience was cosy and intimate and the service very personal. We even got a doggy bag.

We weren't impressed by the tea unfortunately. For 4 dry sandwiches and a couple of cakes and very, very slow service, £65 seems very steep. We weren't offered more tea and the scones were very dry. I am struggling to see what we paid for and the usually £10 bottle of prosecco in the shops was £44 a bottle..! It's a lovely place, but we were the only ones in there towards the end and it took around 40 minutes to get the bill as there wasn't anybody there to ask for it!
