"Passioni Italiane in Minehead went above and beyond all our expectations! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The cozy atmosphere and charming decor immediately transported us to Italy. The lunch menu was simple yet perfect. We started with the delicious bruschetta, which set the tone for the meal with its burst of fresh flavors. The pasta dishes were cooked to perfection, with rich and flavorful sauces. We particularly enjoyed the Lamb and Raisin Meatballs and the Baked Beetroot Risotto was outstanding. What really stood out was the genuine passion for Italian cuisine that emanated from the couple who own the restaurant. They were not only friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but also eager to share their story of how they ended up in Minehead. Finding a truly authentic Italian gem in a Somerset town is rare, but Passioni Italiane is a hidden treasure. We left with full stomachs and grateful hearts, already planning our next visit. For an incredible Italian dining experience, look no further than Passioni Italiane. It's a delectable taste of Italy right in the heart of Somerset. The restaurant is also kid-friendly; they adored our two boys and made them feel welcome. Overall rating: Food - 5 stars, Service - 5 stars, Atmosphere - 5 stars. Price per person: £10-20. Such a delightful little restaurant that we are glad we tried while we were in the area. The meals were hearty, tasty and full of love. This is a little hidden gem. Having lived in Italy I always find eating Italian food out of italy difficult. It certainly was not here. The food was fabulous. Beautiful bruschetta, homemade asparagus pasta, veal and risotto, cannoli pistachio, gorgeous espresso and red wine. Service was good and friendly. If you want excellent food in a friendly setting we would highly recommend. All round excellent lunch! Lovely duo running this restaurant! The truffle pesto fettuccine and the caper, tuna, rice and anchovy stuffed peppers were delicious! It is a smallish restaurant down a backstreet (like all great restaurants in that respect haha) so I would recommend that you book just in case. The blood orange still drink I ordered was tasty and nice... I'd wager that it was nicer than San Pellegrino... But that's just my opinion Yes... Very tasty Italian fare! 0 complaints I didn't get any photos for this I apologise! Will definitely return and next time take photos! "Yet again we needed to celebrate having resolved a long standing technical problem. The pub in Brompton Regis came up in discussion the evening before when our neighbour was around for a glass of wine. He said that before coming to our village he’d looked at houses in Brompton Regis. He left and we booked a table. Friday was a damp day but we were not deterred as we drove up into the Brendon Hills, usually distant views greet one but this day the clouds were dominant. However as we descended from Roborough Gate towards Wimbleball Lake we could turn off the wipers. By the time we crossed the bridge at the top of the lake a shaft of sun broke through and sparkled across the surface of the water whilst light wisps of mist kissed the shore line. Rounding the churchyard wall always raises our expectations for there is the George Inn. The bar door was hardly open before Tash, a beaming smile, greeted us with a price board for ‘COFFEE’. I said in my previous review that I wouldn’t mention coffee at the George again, sorry, but I must. The coffee machine had arrived the day before. Well done Tripadvisor the George! We had a wonderful starter of Baba Ganoush, new to the menu that day. It was exceptionally good with delicate flavour. Following on was chicken breast and pasta with tomato sauce, again great flavour though my wife found it a little too greasy. My Bengal curry was fantastic and a most generous serving. Our ‘Desert,’sic, was Chocolate Ganache with pistachio ice cream under crunched nuts. I had the steamed maple syrup pudding set in a delicious whisky sauce, a very delicate and light texture, just right to finish on after the curry! Of course we had our long awaited espressos from the new device, a delicious finale to our meal. Earlier in walkers had dropped in wanting a coffee. Now all on Exmoor should be heading to the George for their ‘hit’."
