Pizzas are good and prepared in front of us, it is a simple but nice place, with a nice roof terrace. desserts don't renew too much and service is sometimes a bit disordered but it's a nice address. Pizzaiolo is very friendly and it is not unemployed. the price quality ratio is very correct.

We ordered a take away for 4 went to collect and was impressed by the chef's work but then it all went wrong they couldn't get their card machine to work so had to call friends to come and pay only to then be told...machine was now working. When we got back to villa pizzas were luke warm and my wife's and my fairly spicy pizzas were very salty, disappointing

We found this amazing little restaurant while travelling in Provence. This pizza is simply amazing. The crust is thin and perfectly done in their bread oven and the chef gives it a special twist with french cheese and marvelous oregano spices. I was impressed, because...the chef and his wife give an impression about their dedication and love to the food they serve. Thank you for the experience. So simple, but yet so devine! View menu

an address not to be missed if you pass in the area and enjoy pizza and pasta! Pizzas cooked with wood fire are delicious, worthy of the best of Italian. I also recommend the inguines (fresh) pesto parmesan, excellent. we dine almost every night during our merindol holiday, because the rates are more than reasonable and the small terrace is nice. service young and friendly, the boss is in the kitchen, and the boss, really charming, in front of the oven for pizza preparation. I highly recommend!

Reading previous reviews we went there for take away pizzas, we ordered four different pizzas and what we got was very disappointing: all pizzas looked the same, with lots of grated cheese on top and very little else to differentiate them tastewise. The pizzas bases...were flat and not risen, the dough prior to cooking looked like a piece of cardboard.We suspect it was with a gas oven rather than wood oven. I had better pizzas from high end supermarkets! The place itself looked very basic and I would not have liked to eat there. Only recommended if you have very basic expectations for pizzas. We did not have any other food there.

My wife and I first discovered le Patio du Vallon in 1999 when we had just arrived jet lagged and hungry at a house we were renting just outside of Merindol and while walking through the very quite village we heard noise from a second...floor terrace, le Patio, and shared a marvelous pizza and a carafe of wine in a very pleasing setting. We return to Merindol in June and September each year, and our first dinner is always a pizza and a carafe at le Patio. Then, over the course of our two weeks stays, we will eat at le Patio at least 2 or three more times because the chef's talents extend well beyond pizzas.
