"Dinner was lovely. The staff were polite and friendly. We were able to choose our table, so we opted to sit in front of one of the large windows to enjoy the view. However, it meant one us had our back to the window. I moved my cutlery to the side so I was sitting next to my husband and I was able to appreciate the scenery. The meal was nice. The duck was tender and well seasoned. I enjoyed it. My husband opted for the sea bass. My only disappointment was the lack of drink list. There was a wine list only. We had to go to the bar to select our drinks. The waitress offered to do it for us and the bartender brought our drinks to the table. So I cannot complain about the service I received. My husband and I ate breakfast. There was a good selection, although you had to pay extra for some items. The food was spread out so there were no queues. I particularly liked the porridge made with cream. It was nice and rich. The scrambled eggs were not fluffy and it did not look appetising, so I gave it a miss. The pot of peppermint tea was lovely and hot. It looked cute on the table. I enjoyed all my meals and would recommend this restaurant for an evening meal."

Greeted being told that money, paid in advance is deducted as THEY determine no dessert? You lose.

Excellent, attentive and fast service. OK choices for 3 course dinner but we did not order from a la carte. Good breakfast...usual plus fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt etc.

Thoroughly recommend this restaurant, the service and friendly staff could not be faulted and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend the lobster starter and the dover sole.

Great food. Really tasty. The desserts were a little bit hit and miss. But the price for the food was great. They did run out of various wines during the stay which was a little disappointing. Service is brilliant. View menu

I took my mum here for an afternoon tea for her birthday! It was the best afternoon tea we’ve ever had and our server Cody was amazing, very helpful! Thank you Cody for some of the best service we’ve ever had! Someone give him a promotion!

Ate here as we were staying at the hotel. Very disappointed. Choice quality of food did not warrant the prices. Our meals were bland not warm enough. Absolutely no ambiance..the restaurant is used for breakfast too so the setting is functional. Service was excellent..

We had a very enjoyable evening meal at the restaurant. It was part of a wowcher deal but we looked at both menus, fixed price and a la carte, and decided on the pork from the fixed price menu. We didn’t regret it! As we were celebrating my wife’s birthday it made for a very pleasant occasion. Rachel our server made it even more special with a few nice nice touches. Well done everyone! We had two dinners on consecutive days in the Pavilion Restaurant. The first was quite a lot better than expected very tasty scallops as a starter excellent fish chips as the main. The second was much worse than we expected tasteless broccoli stilton soup tough, chewy, gristly tasteless ribeye steak. A big disappointment. But the service was good the student waitresses very friendly. Very noisy during the Covid restrictions.

We went for the all inclusive golf and dinner option. Dinner was the worst resort dinner i have ever experienced. Three mains to choose from braised beef and mash, pasta and a mushroom sauce and the smallest piece of fish with over cooked vegetables we gave it back. Dessert had ice cream which was made from powder we gave it back. The contents of the meals could not have cost more than £2.5 We asked to se the restaurant manager who was apparently busy but would come soon to see us , we finally left when he did not show up and though we left our room number for him to contact us we were never contacted. We managed to negotiate to skip dinner the second day in exchange for a burger and a sandw...

"The last time I visited this restaurant was 6 years ago, it WAS a real hidden gem. When I walked in this evening nothing had changed and I was hoping the food would be just as good as I remembered. Service was slow which surprised us as it was a Sunday night and pretty empty. We were given some olives while we ordered (the nicest part of the meal unfortunately). My boyfriend ordered the garlic focaccia with caramelised onion; the bits that had cheese and onion on were very tasty but this was only about 30% of the focaccia, the rest of the bread was over cooked and bland. I ordered bruschetta which was completely underwhelming. 4 small pre sliced bits of stale bread, some chopped up soft tomato and pesto with rocket in the centre. I could have made this at home. For mains I ordered what I always used to have, linguine alla marinara. The portion of pasta was decent, however I only counted 6 pieces of seafood and one large prawn on the top. The menu states it also comes with tomato’s which there were none of. The flavour tasted like buttery pasta with a hint of garlic, again completely underwhelming. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti meatballs. A large portion but completely inedible as it was absolutely disgusting. The sauce tasted like pure tomato purée, so lumpy and stodgy and the meatballs were like nothing we had ever tasted, VILE. We decided to bring the rest of the portion home for my mum (a head chef) to try. We wanted to know what she thought the flavour was as we were confused as to how you can make a meatball taste so vulgar! She spat it out immediately saying it tasted like it had either been cooked in or made with rancid/old fat. The cherry on the top for us was when we asked for the bill. We were given the generic boiled sweets that come with it. 2 of the boiled sweets were in wrappers however there was a third that stuck them all together that was half chewed, out of it’s wrapper. The place was COVERED in cobwebs, decor completely outdated with many flashing lights, menu pages stuck together and stank, looked like they had many a drink spilt over them and not once changed. Don’t even get me started on the toilets! We cleaned our own cutlery it was so filthy and swapped side plates with an empty table next to us as ours had food still on them. Left feeling completely disappointed and are both now suffering with major trumps. Will not be returning again!"
