The chips was undercooked the chicken did not look like chicken the price was cheap but I feel sick won’t be going back

We have found our new favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. After trying out multiple options, we have decided to make this place our regular spot because of the consistently excellent food and the friendly staff.

We usually order takeout from this restaurant every couple of weeks since we are local. This time, we ordered a special fried rice with only chicken, pancake rolls that were very greasy, and king prawn balls that were overcooked and soggy. The woman behind the counter was very unfriendly. They need to improve their quality control.

We are home cooks who love a great Chinese and we have used this takeaway for authentic dishes for 8 years. The negative reviews really get to us. Try the special fried rice, beef black bean, shrimp chow mien, kung po chilli duck, sweet sour pork. If you want fresh, consistently good Chinese food you will love it. It has never been greasy or bad, so we felt we just had to support and leave a positive review. Our suggestion is that if you like cheap chips and curry sauce just go to a local chip takeaway! Well what can I say. Organisation absolutely terrible. Ordered a takeaway for 7pm had to stand outside in -1 degrees for 1hour and 20 mins. There would appear to be no organisation to stagger the take away orders. No social distancing in the queue of at least 20 people. Also asking you to pay cash for your orders when it is far Better to use a contactless card transaction in a pandemic. I am that angry that I will be discussing the issue with the local authority as their was no social distancing or track and trace. I will also be phoning to speak to management for a full explanation. Absolute shambles will not be using this take away again.

So because The Golden Park was closed we decided to order from The Pembroke Carvery, although we’d heard mixed reviews. As we entered I noticed how dirty the waiting area/ordering counter was but thought hey ho as it was constantly busy we ordered regardless. The seaweed was black burnt so we couldn’t even eat it (see photo) The smoked chicken was just not smoked Salt chilli ribs were tough dry again inedible- just yuk. Sweet sour chicken balls some were ok but others were tough chewy. However, the special chow mein, egg fried rice satay beef were acceptable but not as nice as elsewhere. We will definitely not be returning £38 down the drain.

Not a very nice place all in all, waiting area could do with a good clean. We ordered a meal which consisted of 1 chicken curry (no rice), which was like dishwater, tasteless and bland but plenty of squared diced chicken in, 1 bag undercooked soggy chips yuk, 1 special chow Mein, all noodles very little meat but was ok! , and 6 spare ribs dry yuk yuk yuk. they were full of grease, they were deep fried probably same chip fat cause that’s all you could taste, over cooked and just dripping with oil, managed to try it but threw it away but that’s £32 .25 that little lot cost us, .
