"I was advised to go here by a friend so I was expecting a good service and lunch. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. First, the lady at the till coughed all over me and the tea she was making. No hand or tissue over her mouth she didn’t even turn her head away meaning I was splattered with germs. The meal took a long time to come way over 30 mins. A long time as the food was already cooked and ready. The food was not up to scratch. My pie was only just warm and I got 14 crinkle cut oven chips. Hardly worth the money. I could have done this myself for less than £1 and it would have tasted better. The bread for the sandwich my partner had was dry and it felt like it had been out for most of the day. They also failed to bring her small bowl of chips. I had to go and ask for them. I won’t be eating there again, but then again probably my own fault for going. I shouldn’t have taken advice from someone who regularly eats at Morrison’s cafe…."

Terrible asked for latte didn't get one just normal coffee. Very disappointed. Will not return. Was told latte doesn't have froth on it.

Very disappointing. Scone appeared to be a few days old and the cake was so hard and stale that the knife wouldn’t go through it! Not good, won’t be back.

Worst flat white I've ever had, just a weak milky ordinary coffee with no flavour. Lemon drizzle cake was acceptable, nothing special and a bit dry, but expensive View menu

Popped in for some lunch after having walked past many times and not noticed it. Had a jacket potato with cheese and salad and a dark hot chocolate. Staff were all really friendly, service was quick and plenty of choice. Finished off with a piece of coffee and walnut cake which was really tasty and moist, generous portion which I couldn’t finish. Had a lovely atmosphere and felt really homely.

Worst coffee in UK , ordered 2 cappuccinos, really weak coffee and looked like a normal white coffee… took 40 minutes for food to come.. Caesar salad was terrible has as much colour as a glass of water. Steak pie came with a salad ! What’s that all about… chicken nuggets and chips were ok , but the chicken didn’t look great… sausage and egg sandwich was very good… the service was abysmal … I struggle to understand the attraction of this cafe… last visit for us…

Had been before, under precious ownership I realised. Waited at the counter to be hollered to the end of the counter. Ordered a flat white and tea cake. The coffee was made and was very much not a flat white. Made in a regular sized mug, the milk used was already in the jug and had no foam. Personally I found the coffee bland and looked like tea. I asked if this was a flat white and told yes I could not be bothered to say it wasn’t. I will not be returning nor recommend. View menu

Staff lovely. Tables, ambience good. Hubby had steak pie/chips (accompanied by a large salad?? Steak pie was delicious, could have done with more chips and no salad. Seems strange to have a large dish of salad, served with pie/chips (which was wasted. I had a chicken salad sandwich. The small size thick sandwich bread was dry, hardly any butter and just disintegrated when picked up, not helped by the large chunks of chicken (tasteless , tomato/cucumber. coleslaw really tarty. The pie was delicious but sandwich was awful. We decided not to bother with any cakes. Not sure if we will return which is a pity as over the years it was always a regular lunch venue, when we came to Nantwich.

This is a fabulous coffee shop and friends and helpful staff. We always go here when we stay at the nearby Warner's Alvaston Hall Hotel. The front of the shop has wonderful gifts and paintings for sale, and the café is at the back with plenty of seating. The main meals look fabulous, but we had a tea cake and a scone and both were delicious as was the pot of tea we had. The prices are very reasonable for all food, and you know you are getting quality. We wouldn't go anywhere else in Nantwich. A great place to visit and looking forward to seeing the management and staff again when we next visit. As an aside my wife purchased some earrings in the shop on our way out, again very reasonable.
