"I am in my 50 s and not a wizz in technology, so I asked the waitress about the 50% off on her app that I had installed, the whole restaurant had 4 tables in so not busy, but the waitress that served us. on table 12 made me feel like a total fool while I asked for help with their pizza express app, my daughter said she felt very uncomfortable about the way the waitress talk to her mam, the waitress pointed to me and signaled another coworker member on the other side of the restaurant, my daughter also noticed and asked why I thought she had felt that I had done that. never felt so unpleasant. my pizza came burned dry and black parts on the basic, base blown / burnt teig, this could make the signal of the waiter, burn it. it was served to me, it would not have allowed to leave the kitchen. Obviously, I couldn't say anything when I was worried about what they would do with a new pizza I couldn't see."

The vegan options at this restaurant are fantastic! I absolutely love them.

on Thursday for lunch. the restaurant was not busy, and the service was quick friendly. pizza salad should taste, and the drinks are perfect in order. everything as expected (or better) for this chain.

we were here with friends as group of 3 adult 3children (8 4 years) the service was amazing, but the restaurant is very crampy and the stairs down to the toilet were steep and dangerous for the children

we finish our meal and look forward to getting out of here. I usually find pizza Express staff error-free, and while our waitress is attentive and friendly today afternoon, she is super loud and really pampering tyrus ambiente. a shame. View menu

for a chain are the pizzas really authentic italian, not all, but most are. and to be honest, pizza express is far superior, places like pizza hut, pizza express is my place in every city where I am when we fight to eat somewhere. it is consistently excellent.

We’ve eaten here many times over the last 10 years or so and had wonderful experiences. The last one however was quite disappointing. The pasta I had was bland and the vegan pizzas we got between the 3 of us were more like ones you’d get from Iceland Im so sorry to say.

The outside vegan options looked very few, but the inside menu we were given is much more extensive with a bit more choice. The American jack pizza (vegan jackfruit pepperoni) was probably the best pepperoni alternative I’ve had, and great vegan cheeze too! Updated from previous review on 2022-05-13 View menu

During my visit to Durham this week with my son, we decided to try out this pizza express as a compromise. I typically enjoy vegan pizzas, but this one was exceptionally terrible. It tasted like a frozen pizza from a supermarket. The kitchen appeared to be operated by young teenagers. Despite this, the service was fairly good.

I have visited Pizza Express many times in recent years. Along with Zizzi and Ask, it's one of the places where you can find pizza with vegan cheese. However, Pizza Express goes above and beyond when it comes to catering for vegans. Their vegan menu offers a fantastic variety of pizzas. I particularly enjoyed the vegan diavalo with jackfruit pepperoni and three types of chilli peppers, as well as the jackfruit pepperoni pizza with black olives. The restaurant can get quite busy, especially on weekends and during university semester. The toilets downstairs are a bit inconvenient, but other than that, you can expect great service in the long and narrow premises. Don't forget to use your Tesco...

"Started off really well and went over to the counter and ordered a crepe with banana and Nutella and specifically stated no strawberries I also asked for a San Pelegríno still water as this was on the menu also. I was the first person to order and the last to eat in the end. I got brought my water over which was a cheaper brand water that I just paid £2 for what would I have liked to have seen ? We’ll when I asked for san pelligrino still water to be told that they don’t have that in. Finally my crepe comes and I take a bite and realise that it’s got strawberries in all the way through which I’m allergic too. One of my family members takes it back and says that I asked for banana not strawberry there’s a reason why I can’t eat it and didn’t want it on my crepe. Then 5 minutes later another crepe comes out that was my bitten crepe that someone had opened up and picked the strawberries out and put banana in. Disgusting absolutely … not sure if this was a mistake or just being stingy either way it’s not on. It then again gets returned because there is no way I am eating that and it gets explained once again there is a reason I can’t eat strawberries to which then one of the owners comes over to serve the correct crepe and apologise . I really hope a lesson was learnt today because cross contamination is not a joke. Please be careful when eating there. I didn’t get offered a refund but then again they were willing to serve me a bitten crepe again so it didn’t surprise me that much."
