Absolutely lovely place to eat. I had a lamb liver sausage casserole and wife had a roast chicken dinner and was sooooooo tasted and filling. The staff were amazing and polite. Top dog grub

The food and service were excellent at this restaurant. The portions were very generous and getting 2 meals for £21 was a great deal. It was my first time dining here and I will definitely be back.

Went today, four of us, 3 pints Birra moretti, bottle of merlot. 4 great, delicious mains and 4 lovely desserts. Lovely friendly staff, quick service and at £23.50 a head you cannot go wrong. We shall certainly be back.

We had an absolutely fantastic day with our family at the Blue House. All the meals were delicious and not a single guest had any complaints. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. Thank you to the entire family and staff at the Blue House for making this special day perfect.

This restaurant creates the perfect relaxed atmosphere for meeting up with friends. The staff are courteous and accommodating. I decided to try the burger and chips and I was pleasantly surprised. The burger was bursting with delicious flavors and the homemade style chips were perfectly cooked. I will definitely be returning and will be suggesting this place to friends and family. View menu

2 of us visited here recently and won’t be back in a hurry. Ordered jacket potato with salad and a steak and ale pie. Jacket potato was the size of a small garden potato and the pie was as dry as sticks. Both plates of food took ages to come out as well. Tables and chairs have been crammed in so there’s no room to move your chair if you need to either. It’s far too crowded. Not impressed at all.

I would prefer not to recommend The Blue House . It 'll make it more difficult for me to get a table, but these people deserve to be known. The food here is INCREDIBLE. Service is a delight and the atmosphere in the restaurant is like sitting in a friend 's dining room. It 's cosy and relaxed, drinks promptly served and just wait for the food... Steak and Kidney steamed pudding, whatever potatoes you like, chips are marvelous, mash is smooth and creamy, REALLY fresh veg and a pudding big enough to move into. Meat that melts in the mouth with wonderful gravy. Desserts! 4 different cheesecakes, syrup sponge, sticky toffee pudding, meringue nests what to have????? YOU MUST BOOK!

Having visited here for a lot of years, previously I would have described the food as average pub grub and dismissed this as an option as we usually go for food which is a bit more special or interesting. Recently we visited as we were hearing a lot of good comments from people we know so thought we’d give it a try. I must admit I was very pleasantly surprised at what we were served it was amazing and not what we were expecting. Afterwards I got the opportunity to speak to the chef and he was telling me that he was getting more free reign to be more creative and keep looking out for the specials as this is where he could do his thing.
