"We were with three persons. The menu is classical Italian. As a starter we chose for vitello tonnato, bruschetta and shrimps from the oven. Bruschetta made from supermarkt sandwich bread, vitello dry and thick. The shrimps with tomato sauce and cheese, a very strange combination...with norwegian shrimps and melted cheese, don't need explanation. After that two pizzas and a pasta. One pizza was burned, but according to the waitress it was meant like this... Also pasta with chicken. Nothing really tasted fresh or had some kind of flavour. We did not dare to try a dessert or coffee. If you like decent food for a good price, go to the neighbour Am Wilden Kaiser."

"Brilliant ! Aufgrund der guten Google-Bewertungen haben wir uns entschieden, hier am 29.06.2022 ebenfalls zum Abendessen hin zu gehen. Das Restaurant war bis zum letzten Platz besetzt, was ebenfalls für sich spricht, jedoch hatten wir das Glück, trotzdem sehr schnell einen Tisch zu bekommen. Hannes, welcher uns von Anfang sehr freundlich, schnell und mega zuvorkommend bediente, kam gleich mit einem Schulranzen voller Speisekarten wieder und wir bestellen zwei Radler und zwei 'Chicken Joe ' Burger. Trotz des besagt vollen Lokals waren Getränke wie auch die Speisen dafür schnell am Platz. Die Burger waren vom Geschmack her vorzüglich und von der Größe ebenfalls genau richtig. Die Atmosphäre war sehr einladend, locker und auch ansteckend, sodass man sich sofort wie unter Freunden im Stammlokal rundum wohl fühlte. Vielen lieben Dank auf diesem Wege nochmals für alles ! Wie können das 'Schulhaus ' jedem sofort und gerne weiter empfehlen."

"Das Essen bei Giovanni hat uns eigentlich gut geschmeckt. Pizzen von der Größe und Qualität her absolut in Ordnung und deutlich besser als in jeder 0815-Pizzeria.Doch leider ist uns das Essen hier im Halse stecken geblieben, da der Inhaber extrem unfreundlich zu Kindern ist. Und das obwohl auf der zum Restaurant gehörenden Wieso sogar ein kleiner Spielplatz ist.An dem Tag unseres Besuchs dort hatte es nachmittags geregnet und draußen war es noch nass. Daher haben wir drinnen Platz genommen. Da es nicht mehr regnete wollte unsere Tochter natürlich gerne auf den Spielplatz. Dort war sie dann und ist zwischendurch immer mal wieder herein gekommen um bei uns am Tisch zu schauen. Dies hat der Inhaber dann zum Anlass genommen, uns auf äußerst unfreundliche Art an zu raunen. Schließlich sei der Boden und das Mobiliar im Restaurant neu und es könne ja wohl nicht sein, dass ein Kind mit nassen Schuhen alles dreckig macht. Auf den Hinweis dass unser Kind lediglich über den Boden gelaufen ist und mit den Schuhen nicht auf das Mobiliar geklettert ist (das würden wir auch nie zulassen) meinte der Inhaber nur, dass er soetwas nicht möchte und wir das gefälligst zu verstehen hätten.Andere Reisende hatten uns vor genau solchen Situationen bzw. der Kinderunfreundlichkeit des Inhabers gewarnt. Wir wollten das aber nicht so recht glauben, bis wir es am eigenen Leib zu spüren bekommen hatten. Für uns ist das Restaurant auf jeden Fall gestorben."

"We have just come back from a 4 night stay at Gasthof Christophorus and can happily recommend the place. We stayed in room 10 which was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean with a comfy bed. What more could you want? (Okay, a double duvet on the bed, rather than two singles would have been nice but that certainly didn’t spoil our stay). Breakfast was help yourself, with decent choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese meat definitely set us up for a day on the slopes. The evening meals were really good, three courses with a choice of main each night. The Wiener schnitzel with salad buffet was a particular favourite of mine, but all of them were good. We were seated at the same table for each meal which was a great way of meeting other guests and we quickly made friends. The bar was lively on an evening, especially popular on live music nights. Smoking is allowed in the bar (as with most other bars in Söll) which is quite unpleasant when you’re not used to it (following UK smoking ban), but this is personal preference. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Christophorus. We were made to feel welcome, all staff were very polite friendly, our room was cleaned every day, always plenty of hot water and importantly (when it’s 6 outside) the room was always warm cosy. We would definitely consider returning in the future and recommend it to people wanting a good value hotel in a perfect location to enjoy Söll."

"I`ve just returned from my 20th year in Soll and the Dorfstubn still keeps its high standards of quality and service.. My favourite this year is Zwiebelnrostbraten 2 pieces of braised Sirloin steak with Green beans and saute potatoes. Delicious. The old favourites like Grostl and Goulasch soup are as good as ever. Resi usually puts a one page insert into the main menu giving an extra 2 or 3 mains. This is where I found the Pfifferling Grostl(with Chanterelles instead of meat bacon) another new favourite.! I`ve some changes in Soll recently but the Dorfstubn is still going strong after 33 years.Long may it continue!"
