"A nice quiet hotel with decent food options nearby. A pizza and gelato shop is within walking distance. The room we had came with a king bed, which was great for unwinding for the night. 10 minutes away from the airport, a shuttle provides free 2-way transfers. Very convenient! The breakfast that came with the reservation was very good, and filled our tummies before leaving. A good spread that includes prosciutto crudo (my all time favorite)!"

"first time at the fontanili. beautiful and very suggestive location. Dinner. some top things and other appetizer flops: two beef bars with eggplants, Parmesan cream and seed grissino. Good bread. We found it a little dry almost old. first: we took two first fresh linguine with winter pesto, stracciatella and shrimp bar (my bite) and tagliatelle with pecorino cheese to the brace and cheek (my.) a little flop because tagliatelle were smoked and knew a little too much smoke. we reversed the first and I must say that the linguines were very good. sweets: degotation palette was a no and millefoglie with white chocolate (good wine, water. Overall. stars"

"We ended our Tuscany visit in a hotel near the Milan airport to assure we made our morning flight. One of the hotel staff recommended Il Castigo and we were so glad she did. It was one of--if not THE--best dining experiences of our trip. We arrived on a Monday night right after opening and the owner said we got the last unreserved table. He and other members of the staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant interior is charming, with a real old world feel. The food, the drinks and the wine were all excellent. Il Castigo turned what could have been a melancholy last night in Tuscany into a celebration. Grazie per tutti, Il Castigo!"

"the place is rustic and at the hand. there is both the bar service, active all day, and the restaurant tried by me always and only in the evening. Before the covid period there was often live music that made the evening fun and lively. There are tables both inside and abroad and under a tent. The food has always been good, very good fried, which is light and not greased and deserves a lot. A couple of notes. prices are perhaps a little too high compared to the place, which seems more trattoria but with restaurant prices. The burger to be avoided because it is a Swiss, without bread and, if you want the contour, it is however to be chosen aside. Let's say that for hamburgers maybe, nowadays, you think of a sandwich even at the restaurant and see yourself coming a Swiss in the dish leaves a little basic.
