"We visited a museum in Dusseldorf and used the occasion to revisit our preferred restaurant there. Our reasons are that it is Italian, it predominantly offers fresh seafood, and the personnel are helpful, particularly when recommending dishes that take into account my wife's dietary requirements....We had a great mixed platter as appetizer and then both took fish based on the restaurant's daily catch offer. While my wife opted for the salmon, I chose the monkfish which was prepared in a really excellent house recipe sauce (can't remember the name). I am more than ever convinced that, while the restaurant has no pretention to vie with the best restaurants in town, it offers one of the best value for money options in the Altstadt area, particularly for those who are not satisfied with the identikit food offered a few streets further on (Argentine meat, German sausage, Greek restaurant etc). Add to that its very central location and a modest pricing policy (I paid a bit over 80 Euro for a full lunch for two people including an excellent bottle of Italian wine), and I feel justified in recommending it once again to other visitors."

Düsseldorf, a vibrant city on the Rhine, is known for its modern architecture, art scene, and Altbier. Typical foods include Rheinischer Sauerbraten and Halve Hahn.
