"Good food, but the man who served us (who we assume was the owner) was very rude. Questioning what we asked for and how, who is going to pay for it and eat? Us or you? I always like the staff in restaurants to advise me on quantity etc, but with good manners. Other very ugly details: -served us all the individual water bottles without asking, just to remove them to fit the plates. It is not something too serious, but it is very ugly that you do not even ask the clients if they want you to serve their whole water. -they bring open bottles of water, for which you are paying and must be given closed. -or goodbye thank you when we walked out the door (when we obviously did say good night and thank you, and he saw us) The rest of the waitresses we dealt with are very friendly, and the food is delicious, but I really wouldn't go back for that man"

"Entramos allí de forma espontánea al visitar el bonito pueblo de Frigiliana y nos quedamos muy contentos con la comida y el servicio. Nos sentamos en la terraza con vistas preciosas sobre el pueblo de Frigiliana, y a lo lejos del mar mediterráneo. De primero unas gambas al ajillo que olían tan bien en la mesa de al lado, que no nos pudimos resistir a pedirlos también. De segundo nos atrevimos a probar el choto y la presa ibérica al estilo nazarí que estaban muy ricos. De postre, una tarta al limón riquísima. Los camareros, muy majos por cierto, hablan perfectamente el inglés aparte del castellano."

"We have been visiting Frigiliana for many years and try and visit Sal Y Pimienta at least once when in the village. We have built up a list of favourite meals here and have rarely been disappointed. We visited the other evening for the second time this trip with friends. Three of us had the goulash which is a long standing fav and the other person had the salmon special. Nothing was left on our plates. The service was excellent and the bill was very reasonable. I am so disappointed to read some of the reviews that criticise the owner for being rude as we have never experienced this."

"It's strange, the pizza ingredients are delicious, but you should know beforehand that they don't have mozzarella and are made of thin dough, so if you overcook the oven a little, (as was our case) you'll end up with something rich but very dry. And if you don't go overboard, it doesn't get much better either. It is not a pizza as we all understand it, much less a Neapolitan one, which is what everyone likes. If you think about it, it's delicious, but if you want a pizza, it may not be the place you expect. The service is very friendly but they take a long time to serve. They explain to you that it is because they prepare everything fresh, but 40 minutes to serve a cold cuts and cheese starter that you just have to cut is not worth the excuse. Even for a pizza with fresh ingredients you don't need 40 minutes. And when they bring you the starters and the pizza at the same time, it's because, despite their kindness, they still lack some staff or organization (no idea). The price is very reasonable."
