"Came in for a beer with some old friends and straight away it was clear they didn’t want us there. They grudgingly served us and we had a couple of beers. As we were just getting ready to leave the person who I assume is the manager of the place came up to the only woman in our company and aggressively got in her face and demanded she finish her drink and give them the glass. This used to be my favourite pub in town and I thought it would be nice to come and support the place, but it appears the current owners don’t want the business. The chatter around town is that the Racehorse isn’t what it used to be and you would be much better off going to The Sun or The Hope. This pub frequently changes hands, when the current owners inevitably fail and sell the business I will come in again and see if they actually give a damn. Such a shame, it used to be a fantastic welcoming place for friends and family. I will be telling all my local friends and family about this experience and I’m sure they will be very disappointed, as many of us have long term connection to this pub."

The chicken noodle dish was delicious. It was a large portion, so I couldn't finish it all. My friends also loved their meals. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. I will definitely return.

We came with a couple of friends for a couple of drinks over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised to see they had a live band aswell. Loved the music and had an amazing time for the rest of the night.

Went here tonight with my fellow zumba dancers for karaoke. What a fabulous atmosphere! Lived in Wallington all my life never been to this pub before but we will certainly be coming back. Thanks for a great night. xxx

The food at this restaurant was amazing, the service from the staff was friendly, welcoming, and kind, and the atmosphere was delightful. It was made even more special by the fact that the England national football team was playing in the World Championship. Overall, everything was outstanding.

Tasty food. Came down with the family for dinner and the food was delicious. The lady working at the bar went through the menu with us and really helped with picking our options. We also had dessert. The banana bread with peanut butter and ice cream was something else. Will definitely be back with the family.

The manager of the place ruined our night. We just wanted to have a few drinks. This horrible person rudely shouted in my friends face and forced her to drink her wine and give the glass back. There was absolutely no reason or cause for this kind of behaviour. Absolutely shocking. They talk about their “friendly atmosphere” on their website. What a joke. Won’t be back. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Went for a drink with friends. Just one ale on tap. OK ish, but not the best. Loud, unpleasant atmosphere. Inefficient, inattentive staff the girl couldn't even work the till, and overcharged £7.35 for a pint and small diet coke! If your passing, just keep going. Four much better pubs just a few hundred yards away, serving better beer, with pleasant staff. My advice DON'T GO HERE. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

I recently arranged for a wake to be held at the Racehorse. Beatrice was extremely helpful and accommodating when it came to selecting the menu and portion sizes. The buffet had a wide variety of delicious food and was very reasonably priced. One of our guests had a gluten allergy, and Beatrice not only assured me that there would be gluten-free options available on the buffet, but she also personally brought out a special platter just for him.

We arrived on a wet night to be out of the rain and get something to eat.We possibly pikked the wrong place. On entering the place we turned left, into the saloon bar. Perhaps we should have gone right, into the lounge. But who makes the diference, these days? Drinks were fine, food was mediocre, locals were terrible. Any publican should put these loadmouthing drunks outside, to cool down in the rain. But perhaps they are too important in ensuring the continuing existence of the pub.

"Hello...We met up with friends the table that we were allocated was in the middle of a war zone with children screaming and swearing. After a ten minutes we asked for another table as we could not hear ourselves talk above the chaos. We were shown to another table upstairs and this was better as we could hold a conversation. We ordered our meals and drinks and waited and waited eventually the starters arrived cold followed by the main meals which we had not even started !!!! One meal full rack of ribs and one steak were of a reasonable quality, the other two meals fish and chips were floating in oil and uneatable. My friends fish contained NO FISH just batter was this a joke ? I went to see the manager and brought him back to our table after seeing the table littered with starters and main meals he offered to replace the two fish and chips which was too late by now, our evening was spoilt and a disaster. Credit to the manager as he could see our disbelief on what had happened and waived the bill totally, this did not make up for the evening. We left and went to another establishment which turned out to be able to offer the evening we had hoped that your establishment could carry out without out all the above problems. This is not the first time this has happened the last time was in The Plough Sutton common road branch check you emails and you will see the problems we had there which were very similar. All in all things need to change unless us older fraternity are not required at your restaurants in future just the mob handed families and screaming children are welcome. Thank you if you read this and understand what is going on in your establishments"
