I regularly travel to Nienburg. It's really a quiet little town... at least it was every time I visited. I usually walk to Main Street. In a free night I stayed at the Ratskeller for dinner and enjoyed my meal. Beer is good, Schnitzel is great and the price is very reasonable.

A great restaurant! There was nothing to complain about. A very varied but not overloaded menu. The service is very friendly and always has a smile on the lips. The food is freshly prepared, well portioned and also very tasty. Also the ambience is stunning an old wall vault, simply great and recommended. View menu

I visited the wunstorfer ratskeller on a Sunday afternoon after having a birthday party in the evening before. we were there with 7 people and had a very nice German carving and steaks. eating was very well presented and the taste was as good as the presentation. the service was excellent as the waitress was very attentive and always asked if we had to fill up drinks or eat. the price was for eating and the service ok. I'll come back when I'm in town.

I was here to meet me and eat something. the restaurant itself is located in a cellar in a wine cellar style and feels cozy and has many angles so that it is at most tables something private. we had a lot of different main dishes from schnitzel to steak to currywurst. all the portions are generous and make sure they don't stay hungry. the only part was that the waitress was a bit slow and some of the drinks ordered had forgotten. Overall, if they want to eat German and are in a wunstorf - go!

For my birthday, I wanted to go with my family and friends in the historic rat cellar of the town of Wunstorf Essen and enjoy the beautiful ambience. We were 10 people and were unfortunately very disappointed. The carving with pipes was not edible. There were 3 small seedlings in the mucus sauce, the carving itself was very brown. There was no mushroom sauce. The Cordon Bleus were raw inside. Only two Rumpsteaks had nothing to do with it. Only two out of ten foods were acceptable. The service was also not very friendly, it was not apologised for complaints. Too bad it could have been a nice evening. I can't recommend the rat cellar. My family, friends and I will not go there anymore. Too bad... View menu
