Excellent curry and lovely service. Ahmed was a legend. Can bring your own beer and pick your own spice level for every dish.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time while on vacation in Derbyshire from Upminster. The food was amazing and the service was top-notch. We highly recommend dining here and will definitely return when we are in the area again!

A great spot and a delicious curry. We live in London and has had multiple curries but this was one of the best once we have had. We had a fish curry and a karaai. You can bring your own drink and there is a shop next door which makes it easy. Ahmed the waiter was lovely and you can customize your dish. Had a very lovely time!

Came here 5 years ago on our last visit to Ashbourne. We were not disappointed on our return visit. Good food, well presented. Service was efficient but then we were the only people in the restaurant. The curries weren’t as hot as we were expecting. Maybe the waiter looked at us and told the kitchen to dial down the spices. Apart from that we had an enjoyable family meal.

Can’t fault the restaurant, which was very clean and well organised. Staff were friendly and efficient. Menu was varied. My gripe and is is probably an unfair comparison as the Indian restaurant where I used to live was exceptional) is that the food was a bit bland, lacking any depth of flavour, which is not the same as adding more chilli. Please spice the food up a bit, chef.

The food was good, chosen from a wide-ranging and varied menu. Clearly a popular place for take-aways, and we think that would be preferable. We had booked but there was no table ready for us, though other tables were reserved. We felt that the service was basic, rather than sincere, we like to feel welcomed and well-treated. We were also disappointed by the venue itself, going in via a basic staircase past the facilities, and into a big white spacious but blank dining area that lacked any atmosphere.

I had an amazing dining experience at Red Chilli in Ashbourne. This was my first time visiting the restaurant, and I was impressed by how clean and well-presented everything was. The food was excellent, especially the garlic rice and Chef's special curry. The service was top-notch, thanks to Kalum who was very attentive and professional. I would definitely give Red Chilli five stars for their food, flavor, and service, and I highly recommend it to others. I will definitely be coming back again. The service upon arrival was pleasant and efficient. However, we received double the amount of popadoms we had ordered, which seemed odd. After waiting for an hour without any indication of when our food would arrive, we noticed that a table which arrived after us had already been served. It turned out that they were served first because they did not receive popadoms like we did. When we questioned this, we were told that the table had been served first because they did not have popadoms. This was the final straw for us, as waiting for over an hour in a restaurant without any explanation was unacceptable.
