"Here was cooked with love! We were there for lunch, were nicely greeted and had a nice table. The food came a la Carte, but from a small lunch card. Nevertheless, everything came as ordered, freshly prepared, good and plentiful. Only the seasoning could be stronger, but that's a matter of taste. Top! "Boah, das geht ja mal gar nicht.So etwas darf einfach nicht passieren. Waren schon sehr enttäuscht, als wir nach langer Zeit mal wieder die amerikanische Küche im „Palms Diner“ in der Nähe der BAB-Ausfahrt von Bad Nenndorf ausprobieren wollten. Das wir an an einem Donnerstagabend gegen ca. 18:00 Uhr, die einzigen Gäste waren, hätte uns eigentlich zu denken geben müssen. Wir wollten u. a. die in unserer Erinnerung leckeren „Spare Ribs“ essen. Aber die waren nach unserer Bestellung, plötzlich nicht verfügbar. Für uns unvorstellbar, dass der Klassiker der amerikanischen Küche alle war. So etwas muss den Gästen vorher gesagt werden.So bestellten wir uns als Vorspeise „Scampis California, gebratene Scampis in Knob-lauchöl und frisches Baguette“. Aber auch bei dieser Bestellung hatte Palms Diner seine Probleme, da das sogenannte „frisches Baguette“ uns getoastet gebracht wurde. Dieses Warnzeichen, hatten wir leider in Erinnerung an die alten Zeiten vom Palms Diner ignoriert. Den erst beim zweiten getoasteten Weißbrot (kein frisches Baguette) sahen wir auf den restlichen Brotscheiben wirklich großflächig den dunklen Schimmel.Wir sind der Meinung, dass bei den vier Augen Prinzip (Koch und Bedienung), so etwas nicht passieren darf. Auch währe ein Hinweis bereits vorab bei der Bestellung schön gewesen, dass frisches Baguette zurzeit nicht verfügbar ist.Ebenfalls hätten wir als Gäste, nach der Entschuldigung durch die Bedienung, eine kleine Entschädigung für das unappetitliche Schimmelbrot in Form eines „complimentary drinks“ erwartet, der natürlich auch ausblieb. Alles in allem, einfach nur peinlich und ungeschickt.Kurz und gut wir waren sehr enttäuscht und können den „Palms Diner“ An der Windmühle in der Nähe von Bad Nenndorf, nach diesem Besuch zurzeit, nicht wei-terempfehlen."

Ristorante La Villetta

"with new swing back, begins after a year interruption, the ristorante “La Villetta” reworked with new ideas and new card. what happened this time? the building complex, opposite the thermal bath, where the “La Villetta” (which was still written “La Viletta”) had its restaurant, was completely demolished at the beginning of 2015. on the free floor, after 11 months of construction, a newly designed complex with a parking deck was built for more than seven million euro. the volksbank and, among other things, a Rewe market were put down on the ground floor. the new location of the Italian restaurant "la villetta" has now been found on the parking deck, i.e. above the Rewe market. the entrance area follows from the parking lot or a staircase from the Kurhausstraße. with the new building, the “La Villetta” clearly the best of all other restaurants in bad nenndorf. through the big window fronts they have a super view over the roofs of the city. 90 seats, the former space is even bigger and much, much more beautiful. the star with its warm cream and brown tones contributes to the new glamour. an ambiente with Italian flair to feel comfortable and a kitchen that makes appetit in Italian. especially positiw we would like to mention the open kitchen that can be seen from the park deck over three windows. we visited the “La Villetta” with friends on Saturday night and found that all our dishes (noodles, pizza, fish and meat) were freshly prepared with Mediterranean touch and were a joy for all senses. but in terms of quantity, here again in comparison with the restaurants we know, the portions are already very clear. where we are for the same plate, for example 3 pieces meat, there are only 2 pieces in the “La Villetta”. but that's true that less sometimes is more. our common resümee: Italian peak gastronomy in a unique/compulsive environment. simply “very good” Italian. but as it is in life, there is also a need for optimisation. what I didn't like to be able to reserve a table, but not a certain table. this selection is reserved for the “La Villetta” where they can take a place. this is not customer-oriented or are these already American relations here in bad nenndorf? also not i.o, which opens the place exactly at 18.00 o'clock, even if the services shortly before 18:00 o'clock see that guests outside in the rain are waiting for the opening of the door. can and should be flexible with regard to its guests. Otherwise you can't ask yourself if they don't come. simply not customer-oriented and inflexible. from other guests I have heard that the service of the “La Villetta” is also difficult if they order a supplement e.g. a little brittle / baguette. in this known case it was not delivered. as we had to wait outside in front of the door, we could observe how a waiter a rod-white brot with his hands, brought to a buffet table to wrap it there in a hygienic cloth. later this waiter then, very mainly on such hygiene, dressed extra white gloves. here is the set true, only good that you don't see everything that is prepared/made. we would have expected this in this beautiful and noble restaurant, not here. Conclusion: Despite the small recommendations for optimisation, the ristorante “La Villetta” is highly recommended and from the environment and the comfortable atmosphere, it is clearly the most beautiful restaurant of the bad nenndorf, with an Italian cuisine at high level."

Taormina Restaurant & Pizzeria

"Italian peak gastronomy in a unique/satisfactory environment when you ask in bad nenndorf and its surroundings, ten people for the best Italian, you get at least nine times the answer that you should go to the “Taormina”. we ourselves were already very often here and also know the competitors in the environment. but each time we notice that the creativity and flexibility, coupled with an excellent quality of antonio and crew, has not changed. After our last visit on a Thursday evening in the february, we decided to appreciate this consistent performance by this feedback. the “Taormina” restaurant, as you can also see on the photos, is a little hidden at the large road of bad nenndorf near the Rathaus. in front of the entrance area is located among the old trees - for the summer days - very beautiful rustic beer garden. the restaurant itself is simply “typical Italian”. it begins with the greeting, the typical Italian institution, the matching music and of course with the smell of pizza and pasta lying in the air. opposite the entrance door is the same and in the window area of the first space are approx. 5 very beautifully covered tables. in the rear area there are two more rooms, so that for about 50 people space is available. we had received our favourite table with a eckbank at the window after reservation. as an appetizer we had ordered a pizza bread with garlic for just 3,00 €. this very tasty brot has the size of a small pizza and is completely sufficient for two people. as a main dish we had once “Polio gorgonzola ( chicken breast in gorgonzolasoße) for 10,50 € and the tagliatelle (bandnudeln with cream sauce and ham) for 8,50 €. both dishes were very tasty and freshly made according to own Sicilian recipes. here everything is made by itself emphasizes the wet antonio from Sicily. he doesn't get into the kitchen. as a drink we chose the also delicious “Dunkle schaumburger Landbier” from the fass. to the conclusion, there was a small attention from the wet, yet an Italian grappa. simply “very good” italinieisch. a typical Italian as we like it! a la prossima! until next time in the taormina!"

Deister Alm

"…. um ein gepflegtes Essen dort zu genießen, sollte man nicht unbedingt an einem Sonntag und schönem Wetter, dort hingehen. Denn dann ist die „Deister Alm“ mit Gästen total überlaufen und man muss viel Glück haben, um noch einen freien Tisch zu bekommen.Schade eigentlich, da vom Ambiente hier alles stimmt, was man sich von einem urigen Wirtshaus mit bayrischem Flair vorstellt. Ergänzt wird dies alles, durch einen sehr großen Biergarten und einer am Haus umlaufenden Holz-Veranda, wo man bei schönem Wetter sehr gut sitzen kann. Wir waren nach einer Sonntags-Wanderung hier eingekehrt und wollten uns zur Belohnung ein Mittagsessen gönnen. Bereits draußen waren fast alle Tische besetzt und im Restaurant bekamen wir nur durch Zufall noch zwei Sitzplätze gegenüber der Theke, mit Blick auf die leckere Kuchenbar (siehe Foto). Da uns gesagt wurde, dass mit längeren Wartezeiten aus der Küche zu rechnen ist, bestellten wir uns, aus der Tagesempfehlung eine „Große Terrine Kürbiscremesuppe mit geräucherter Entenbrust“ für 6,90 €. Als Getränk haben wir uns, das (für uns) sehr leckere Dunkle Augustiner Bier, aus der ältesten Brauerei Münchens bestellt, welches wir hier im Norden sonst nicht so einfach bekommen. Um uns herum war an diesem Tag (zur Mittagszeit) Hektik pur. Mit insgesamt sechs Bedienungen versuchte man einigermaßen, die Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen. Mit Wohlfühlatmosphäre, die wir schon brauchen, hat dies alles nichts mehr zu tun. Dafür war aber unsere „Kürbiscremesuppe“ (siehe Foto) ausgezeichnet, sehr gut abgeschmeckt oder einfach köstlich und kann somit von uns, zu 100% weiterempfohlen werden. Wir werden wiederkommen, aber zum Essen bestimmt nicht wieder an einem Sonntag."
