Cafe Thiesen - Menu

Had the pork schnitzel with fries and a mushroom sauce - above average. The apfelstrudel was well below my expectation. Left slightly disappointed to be honest.

Found this place wandering in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try for dinner. It did not disappoint! Their rumpsteak with mushroom sauce and wiener schnitzel was both really good!

Amazing German meal...thank you Yelpers for the recommendation! We ordered the champinon schnitzel, and local specialty (ham steak with sauerkraut mashed potato). All superb! The local Riesling Bernkasteler Lay was the perfect crisp balance to the meal. Very friendly helpful service, with English menu.

We came across this place, it is a few yards of the Main Street. Very friendly welcome, the menu has some very nice things on it, the smoked pork loin was delicious! They have menus in English and the young lady spoke some English so no problem. Very good value and we will probably go back again before we leave? View menu

Nice restaurant located deep in Bernkastel Kues. It's open on sundays and has an English menu. We were a party of four, and we each had drinks and a meal and our total was less than 60 Euro. I had the champignon schnitzel due to a Yelp review and I found it to be quite tasty. Their Kabinett wines were also amazing, which is to be expected in that region. Overall, for a quick lunch this place fit the bill perfectly, in more ways than one.

we zijn op advies van tripadvisor here gaan eten. we zijn hartelijk ontvangen en he is een vriendelijke bediening. helaas het eten is matig. wading is de prijs he ook naar. de rump steak was ok. de specialiteit was erg zout, de loin van varken. de zuurkool was wel lekker. wij hebben ook extra groente bestld, deze was standaard en winey smaakvol. kookt met een sausje. de 2 glazen half droge wijn were ok, de wijn van prum ( ook helped droge witte wijn ) was full en fijner van smaak. prijs voor 2 hoofdjust, 2 witte wijn, 1 fles water en 1 dubbele espresso €49,-

We searched for the #1 rated restaurant in this charming Mosel town but couldn't find it - the map address is either incorrect or it has closed. So we went to #2 instead, Cafe Thiesen. This was a perfectly nice experience but limited wow factor. The river trout was not available (not even at 12 noon when we ordered!) so we had a different sort of white fish with spinach. Nicely cooked and no complaints, just a bit ordinary. We also had chips rather than boiled potatoes and these were undercooked -but still nice with mayonnaise! The house rosé was a bit too sweet for our liking. They would take plastic so we paid our Euros 30 in cash. Three stars about sums it up. View menu
