We had a long day and walked past funkstadl and sat down m later out came a lovely salad veal schnitzel chips . It was hot yummy and we had a beer. We then ordered the apple strudel which came with icecream and cream

Cosy little family run taverna. Food was tasty and portions of reasonable size. We had the cabbage, liver dumpling soup, munich schnitzel mixed grill special pancakes. Service was efficient and it was an interesting fusion of Austrian and Dalmatian food. View menu

Poor service in this replica Bavarian beer cellar. As I ordered my second beer to wash down a reasonable schnitzel and fries a I was informed that I would have to be quick the owner wanted an early night – this as well before will not be going again and there are many “real” Bavarian beer houses in the neighbourhood.

We stayed in Munich for days and we ate at Funkstadl every single day. Food was absolutely delicious, everything was well done and the staff (especially the waiter) was so nice and kind. Beer was something incredible. We will never forget Munich and the...kindness of the people that welcomed us. Grazie mille, sei il migliore, a presto!

My group arrived in München late; needed a place to grab a good meal. We literally stumbled on Funkstadl and man-alive were we surprised!!!! The food was authentic and absolutely just as I remembered from my childhood. I recommend this place to everyone the...atmosphere was also very nice and comfortable. If I could give this is a I would....!!!!!!

Typical German/Bavarian food. Food was good. Service was very slow. We had a hard time communicating with the server. We pointed to the food on the menu we wanted and we still received the wrong food. We tried to get silverware and had to find...some ourselves. After the food was delivered, we were ignored. The table next to us, which were German speaking, had the same issues we did.

This family owned and run restaurant is a real gem. We were welcomed in a friendly manner and given a menu that was published in English. The Dalmatian influence is obvious in the line up of foods on offer- cevaps, mixed grill, calamari, paprika stuffed...with rice and meat.. all delicious, family food. The range of drinks is excellent. The family caters for all tastes and there is planty of beer, alone, with lemonade or with bitter lemon, for example. My husband was unable to resist the palacinka (pancakes) with mermalade(strawberry jam) and they were absolutely wonderful.. we shared them. They were hot and yummy. View menu
