Restaurant Grand Baie

We were impressed by the hugely professional staff when the whole place was buzzing with people. Great food, well presented. Nice location with views of Almanaare beach

Cuisine saine. Poissons frais préparés comme on le souhaite. Excellents desserts maison.Terrasse un peu exigüe, mieux vaut demander à être placés près d'une fenêtre pour profiter de la vue superbe sur l'Almanarre.

Made reservaties for the 4 person table with the bay view. Got a lousy tabel instead. Compllaining did not help. Food was of medium quality. Service bad; no refill of wines no contact at all during the diner. Do not go there!!!

Les plats sont copieux mais surtout très goûteux. Nous avons prix du poisson et nous n'avons pas été déçu.Malgré une salle pleine, le chef se démène pour une attente raisonnable et le service est très correct.Je recommande et y retournerai avec plaisir.

We shared our dinner, 2 adults and 3 kids, and shared our dishes so as to taste as much as possible.They were kind to accomodate us, food was fantastic and price reasonable.The place is wonderful, and we had a table next to a window, overlooking the sunset on the bay.

We had the most delicious meal, a selection of marinated local fish including home smoked salmon which was likely the best I've ever had. Followed by grilled lobster and the most sublime view of the bay. It was packed and it is obvious why. All the seafood was so fresh and prepared with skill. We had a great evening and look forward to returning.

What a dissapointment. Miserable food, bad service. Everybody talking about the view, which only one table will give (when with 4). The plupart of the tables is inside and at the entrance side of the restaurant. Not offering a view at all. The food is very moderate, the personnel not offering any added value except for bringing the food. What a disaster, expected something special.

En vacance dans la région. Nous sommes arrivés a 22h pour manger. Avons attendu 15 minutes voyant les serveuse trotinees autour de nous avant que l ont ne nous demande de nous presenter au bar . Un peu tard soit pour un lundi mais libre au patron de nlus refusé plutot que de regarder argnesement sa montre .... Suite a cela impossible pour nous de prendre ne serait qu une assiette d huitre a partager. L unique plat que nous avons manger quand a lui etait delicieux .felicitation en cuisine!! Plat fini... 20 minutes a voir les serveuses debarasser er nettoyé des tables desertees par leurs occupants plutot que de s occupé de celles toujours en cours ..... finalement notre serveuse "peuchere" ass...

We were visiting in Hyeres over the Christmas holiday and went out thinking we had directions to a specific restaurant in the Gien area. Couldn't find that one and kept driving and came upon Restaurant Grand Baie. It was night so while I suspect they have a nice view, I can only comment on the food and service. We do not speak french very well and the owner sent over his son to help us though he did not replace our waiter. Very wonderful person to visit with. They bring the fresh seafood around on a large plank of what looked like driftwood. Very nice moderately sized restaurant that is family run with a careful eye out for the customers.
