"Maybe it was the moment, maybe it was the waitress and waiter, maybe it was the duty manager, but Im not prone to complement just for the sake of it, and Im not inexperienced in food; in fact Im very qualified and have eaten in the best and worst.....and this restaurant is exactly what Paris is good at. And I'd eat there again, as I have before, because I liked it.Having said that I know how and why some dont appreciate the true nature of a Parisian Cafe/Bistro/Brasserie and I also know what and why some Parisian staff think of their customers. Ive been one! And quite frankly I know why some staff, especially the French staff treat people as they do. Some respect and decent manners never hurt...TWO WAY...and the staff get so much poor treatment and/or get taken for granted by so many......some nationalities seem to be more guilty of that....But treat these guys well and offer a few words of French like S'il vous plait and Merci and they will look after you. If you speak better French, as I do, then they will treat you like a God! And also respect the menu and the offerings. Its not amazing stuff, its not haute cuisine, its not even that diverse....if you dont like that, then dont dine here! But what they offer is decent French cafe/brasserie food ....and in my experience its well served and its super value, especially for Paris. This is what Paris excels at, dont expect more unless you want to pay a lot more. And give the staff some respect, they will give it back. This is a good Paris cafe/bistro/brasserie,...expect no more than a simple menu, served well, possibly with some wine...and give the staff a smile and its Great!"
