"Was für eine Enttäuschung! Angelockt von einer 4,5 Bewertung gingen wir zu diesem Lokal. Ihre Eintrittskarten bitte , war die seltsame Begrüßung und Aufforderung für den 3G Nachweis. Fällt für mich in die Kategorie zum Bleistift oder ich weiß nicht ob sie zahlen können, aber sie dürfen und nervt mich unendlich! Der Kellner war ungepflegt und seltsam vom Verhalten. Das Lokal war unrein und das Essen war gelinde ausgedrückt ein Fraß! Ich fand die Preise für das Essen überteuert und vom Geschmack eher schlecht. Und weil ich diese Bauernweisheiten so liebe; Geschmäcker und Ohrfeigen sind bekanntlich verschieden"

"Super leckeres Candle Light Dinner. Das Essen war Spitze! Zuerst gab es einen leckeren Gruß aus der Küche (eine mini Portion Reisfleisch) dann bestellte ich mir einen Aperitif und als Vorspeise hatte ich Beef Tatare mit Bio Wachtelei, Kapern-Senf-Creme, Rucola, Knusper Baguette und Butter. Als Hauptgang hatte ich das Rinder Filetsteak mit Cognac-Jus, frischem Grill-Gemüse, Erdäpfelgnocci, Walnüsse und Lauch. Zum Hauptgang gab es einen sehr guten spanischen Rotwein. Als Dessert hatte ich das Waldbeer-Prosecco Sorbet mit einem Schuss Vodka. Dazu gab es noch Kaffee und eine Praline. Gaumenschmaus hoch 10! Das Steak war perfekt gebraten und das Beef Tatare perfekt gewürzt. Der Kaffee war außergewöhnliche gut. Vom Ambiente her kann man sicher noch was machen. Blume am Tisch wollte ein wenig Wasser haben und die Kerze war schon abgebrannt. Aber wenn das Essen am Tisch ist, ist alles vergessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielleicht mal zum Brunchen."

"Location: What I do not like is that you have to walk through the smokers area to get to the non-smoking area. The location looks very good, old catacomb style. But the sound is terrible, simply way to loud (especially with kids present) but this is due to the old building, so what could they do? The atmosphere all in all is good. Food: The appetizer was very nice. Mixed San Daniele ham and cheese. They used to be famous for the pizza in the area. I had the one with seafood. Stuffed with Surimi, which I do not like (why do they have to use this grounded and pressed artificìally colored stuff.)? Just the shrimp and mussels would have been fine. The dough was mushy and so the pizza was pretty bad this time.Service: The service is good. Staff is fast, friendly but not welcoming."

"All former reviews of Baderhaus do not apply any more since everything has changed in the meantime. The former host i.e. the “Kaiser” is gone. He has opened a new restaurant in neighboring Kapfenberg, named “K.u.K. Restaurant Zum Kaiser Franz Joseph”, where he still dresses...up as the emperor. Who is fond of traditional Viennese cuisine has to go there and might be deceived at Baderhaus. The current restaurant at Baderhaus is officially named “Weinerei im Baderhaus”. Although this name means wine bar in English, this place is still a full blown restaurant as can be gathered from its menu. The latter is not comprehensive, but offers enough choice except for Vegetarians. From Tuesday to Friday a simple, mostly rustic dish of the day is available for very little money. Apart from that prices correspond to the average level of restaurants of this standing in the area. Cuisine is now rather international than Austrian. The interior of Baderhaus has been modified a little because the imperial decoration was also moved to Kapfenberg. But the bare brick walls have remained as they were and still create a pleasant atmosphere. The outside seating, spread over different levels, is perfect: separated from the river only by a street of almost no traffic. I came to “Weinerei im Baderhaus” for a late lunch. At that time service was provided by only one person, probably the head of the restaurant. Despite the limited number of guests present, he had difficulties to cope with the situation. So, service was rather sluggish. On the other hand, preparation of my lunch was quite fast even in view of the fact that I had opted for the dish of the day. My fish platter was pleasing to the eye, but did not fully satisfy the palate. While I liked the fried salmon fillet this was not at all the case for the fillet of the second kind of fish because it was dry and lacked flavor. The rice was overcooked to such an extent that it started to degenerate into a sticky tasteless paste. The accompanying leaf salad, however, was well dressed."
