Marcel's - Menu

Great terrace on the Rhein promenade. Service a bit slow. Dorade was very good, the rumpsteak medium, not sure about the argentinian origin. No tap water

After reading very positive reviews, we expected something quite special. However, we found it disappointing in terms of food quality, atmosphere and slow but friendly service. We paid cash but useful to know that they do not accept credit cards

Found this place amongst several popular places by the Rhine. From outside doesn't look interesting. However, the inside is a mixture of unoffensive music, Art Deco, extensive drinks menu and food. Definately eorth the wslk from the railway station View menu

Bad food and terrible service!!!!!!! Extremely slow and unfriendly. than one and a half hour to get basic stuff. We wanted to know the ingredients of one of the salads and the waitress just read the name written on the menu and walked away!...Not a place to visit if you have any allergies..

We were knackered and needed a seat and stumbled in here and were so glad! We were warmly greeted and sat down for coffee and waffles. They do everything from brunch to dinner and the food we had was good and the service friendly and...efficient. Would love to come again next time we are in town

pity for such beautiful situation that in the last few months the sue of the guests increased. after a short closing time, the restaurant is now reopened under new line, the service leaves no wish open, and the quality is again pleasing, even though not yet completely perfect. the direction of the kitchen is more moved towards the Italian. We go to Marcel's every time I am in town. My friend took me there first time a year ago and we always choose it over other restaurantst. Service is immaculate and food is perfect. We are always greeted as old friends. It's great any...time of the day, for breakfast, dinner or just the most Delicious Apple strudel. Make sure you have reservation because it's always packed. I also love the decor, especially over Christmas time

Marcel's is a very popular place, especially when the weather is nice and the outdoor terrace is open. It's a great spot for watching people who stroll along river Rhine. For a restaurant that seems touristic, food and service are surprisingly good. Although not gourmet...cuisine, everything we had was good, prices were reasonable and the service was quick and friendly. Marcel's probably is the best choice when you want to eat on the promenade alongside river Rhine, way better than the row of restaurants located directly on the riverbanks

I spotted Marcel's while walking along the Rhine River, heading for the Media Harbor in Düsseldorf. It looked pleasant and looks were not deceiving. I don't speak German but the staff had no problem speaking either English or French. The best surprise was the quality...and presentation of the food. Très raffiné as they say in French Very refined and delicious. The beef carpaccio was made with Argentine beef; it was one of the best I have ever had. And I highly recommend the Strawberry Parfait with strawberrymint salad for dessert! The parfait part was an iced parfait and beautifully refreshing. Definitely make Marcel's a destination when you are in Düsseldorf View menu
