"My grandparents had their wedding reception at Ribchester Arms 60 years ago so we came to celebrate their anniversary with a big family meal. We were given our own room which was great (there was 31 of us) they took a pre order so they already new what we all wanted. The food was lovely. I had the Tuscan salmon which was delicious and I pinched a few of my husbands chips which were amazing, I'd go back just for the chips! We all finished our meals then it did take quite a while for the staff to ask if we wanted any desserts (the pub was very busy to be fair) but they came out quite promptly after ordering. The only thing I would say is there are quite alot of younger members of staff that don't seem to know what they are doing and could do with some extra training. My husband bought a round of 3 drinks and was overcharged by £16 he only realised as he had paid by Google pay and it showed up on his phone how much it had come too. I ordered a coffee with dessert which didn't arrive with everyone else's and I had to ask 4 members off staff were it was before it eventually came out after everyone had finished eating. We ordered kids brownies and adults brownies for dessert and the young lady that brought out the first lot of brownie didn't know if it was adults or child's portion and ended up giving the kids the adults portions and the adults ended up with the kids desserts. However we will definitely return because the food was good."

The Ribchester arms is somewhere we have been many times, even had our wedding reception here in 1990. We visited yesterday for the Sunday Roast, we wasn't happy, the Roast poatoes looked and tasted as if they had been left and warmed up, the amount...

The worst meal we have had for some years! Food delivered not as described on the menu, ignored customer's request, overcooked, dry, inedible mashed potato etc. Piling items with no taste on a plate does not deliver an appetising dish. Definitely will never be going again.

I hadn’t actually read the negative reviews prior to staying and I’m glad I didn’t. I stayed in room 2 and right from arrival my stay was great. The room was immaculate and beautifully presented. Everything I needed was there. I had a great sleep. Dinner was very good, I had chicken schnitzel and it was lovely. Staff were very polite and friendly. I’d defo stay again if working in the area.

Booked a table here for the first time in years and decide to go for the beef Sunday roast. It was beautiful tender beef which melted in your mouth. There weren't many vegetables which was a shame, but we had ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was extra. Also it would have been so much better with mash than boiled potatoes, but the roast potatoes were nice too. Overall a lovely meal and I would recommend

Met up with friends for lunch. Friendly enough staff Rather noisy at first, but they turned the unessesary radio down. Typical pub menu, with the special Friday fish and chips deal. I opted for the salmon with Mediterranean Veg. Basic Salmon steak with rather over cooked veg.nothing to complain about. My friends had the fish and chips, which was excellent good portions and very tasty. Recommended So, basic pub food in a basic pub Long may they last.

After a 10 mile walk we were ready to eat, so we decided to try the recommended to us Ribchester arms. Warmly greeted and quickly seated we had our drinks order taken immediately, when I asked what cask ales they sold, our server knew exactly what was on offer, great start.. We both ordered the soup, it arrived piping hot accompanied with warm fresh bread. For round two, I had the roast lamb and my wife the pork. The portions are huge which made my day, roasties are to die for and the Yorkshire puds are huge fluffy and crispy. Pudding was a dream. I’ll say no more, you need to try it yourself. What a wonderful experience.

"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."
